- Off their PManchester, United Kingdom4,117 contributionsLots to see and doThis beach was very close to our hotel and we used lots. It is a really busy place with lots to see and do and there is something for everyone. You can rent sun loungers on there for not too much money and there’s lots of places to get food or drink. It is very close to the main road so there are tons of shops and food outlets. Watersports feature prominently and there are many people who will teach you how to surf if you require it. The sea can get very rough so best to do it with professional help.Visited February 2020Traveled as a coupleWritten February 14, 2020
- LRMcKCairns, Australia1,819 contributionsLess crowded than SeminyakA little quieter than Seminyak Beach, north and south of Petitenget Beach. Overall fewer tourists and fewer touts. Lots of domestic tourists taking selfie photos. Nice to see local Balinese people bringing their families down at sunset and enjoying the beach and swimming in the shallows. Costs $10 AUS for two beach chairs and a beach umbrella during the day. The beach is not very clean, lots of rubbish and dark brown unattractive sand.Visited May 2022Written June 5, 2022

- luvholiday9Singapore, Singapore421 contributionsbeautiful sunsetWe did a sunset photoshoot at double six beach and were mesmerised witnessing the beautiful sunset. As many reviews mentioned litter, we didn't see much litter or any dog poo at all and in fact the beach was rather clean. Maybe due to different travel period. We also enjoyed another day at the beach again suntanning. We preferred the side closer to Jalan Arjuna as the beach was more vast and wide. We went from Jalan Camplung Tanduk to Jalan Arjuna side. Sunbeds were expensive but could be bargained😂 They don't provide towels so bring from the hotel or bring a sarong. Food at the beach bars were expensive and average quality.Visited July 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten August 1, 2023

Rubbish, loads Touts, dirty sand & lots of Building workVisited as a couple on the first leg of our honeymoon after lots of recommendations…. Was meant to be paradise and beautiful views, Arrived to what looked more like Kavos Chav strip! Upon walking to main beach entrance lots of hustlers trying to con you that you won a competition, and loads of building works and offers entering beach area! After getting through that gauntlet I thought it must be mesmeric…. Well if you love rubbish, sewage, stray dogs and more touts than punters then go here! The sand was black with direct sewage from building works running into the sea and signs everywhere says no swimming due to the water conditions. Only pro was lots of sun loungers and people staffing them, but this place was filthier than Katie Prices mansion and that had rooms full of sh*t! Wow the rooms are amazing.
Room 423. Had all the views of the whole island, Was above everything so could see sunset and had the indulgence of being private and thoroughly enjoyed our balcony.
The pool always had somewhere for us to languish on a personal lounge and the staff made sure we had towels or service if we asked of it....food drinks or extra towels or head rests. The beach was across a small road but the hotel has a private section for the hotel
The hotel offers two special dining experiences.
Suzi Q which is Asian fusion. Too good to miss but wait.... The Planation Grill is an exquisite dining experience. Look at the reviews and you will see why.
Highly recommend

The loud obnoxious banging music from all the beach bars is really ruining the experience on this beach. It feels like you are in a nightclub, cannot even talk with the person next to you. They all play the same banging loud music also, so there isn't much calm relaxing place to sit.
The overall experience has degraded compared to previous years.

Horrible beach, sand was practically black, horrible mist coming from the water making it hard to see and breathe. Wild dogs running around the beach going to the bathroom everywhere. Sewage running into the beach, when walking along the beach you have to walk through it to get past! So many people trying to sell you stuff so aggressively. Rubbish everywhere! Makes you not want to take off your shoes. Definitely wouldn't swim here, let alone eat amongst all the rubbish and dog wee. All the bean bag chairs are moldy and dirty. Thoroughly disappointed as I had the assumption this was a beautiful beach from all the reviews.

Yes. Many places available. about 100k IDR per hour is a ffair price. Better quality in shops imo as they have nicer oils and set ups. On beach hit and miss as to how long massage goes for for price paid.

Is this place good for a morning jog or run?

Short answer: yes certainly. Longer answer: running on powdery sand may be less than ideal you may find its best closer to the waterline. Earlier the better to avoid people who are mainly going to and from waterline so you're always crossing their path.

Hi, I have booked to come to Bali 26 Dec to 4 Jan 2019! It will be myself, husband and 2 adult daughters. We live a really nice beach and daughters would like to be near Seminyak . Where should we stay near? Double 6 beach, Balian beach,? Would we need to stay in Ubud too or just have day trips? Or stay on the other islands? Please help! Thank you, Carla.

G’day, the Melasti Resort is perfect location for family, 1/2 way between Kuta and Seminyak, and only 50 metres to beach.
Ubud is far and best to stay a day or 2 as if traffic is heavy you won’t enjoy your time.
There is a beach bar on Double 6 named Franks Bar, opposite Jayakarta Resort, also good for family, Franks is family friendly, with bingo drums and traditional songs at sunset.
Enjoy your time in the Island of the gods 😎

Yes, all have umbrella and beach chairs, all vary, most will say the price is up to you.
Can be any where from $5-$15 for the whole day.

Hey guys:)
I would like to find a quite spot not far away from Seminyak to have a "picnic" at the beach around 8 in the evening, with not really any people around.
Double six beach would be great but I've never been there, so if it's too crowded it's not what I'm looking for.
Is it possible to find a quite part ob that beach?
Any recommendations? Would be nice if I don't need to drive too far with the scooter:)
Thanks!!

Hi Sara, Double Six beach is very popular at night with beach restaurants, entertainment & locals selling their goods so is rather crowded. I would suggest Petitengent Beach where the Petitengent Temple is. Enjoy!
