This is a very pleasant way to spend a few hours between wine tastings and grab a snack as well. There are well kept lawns next to the boat mooring and delhi. The delhi has a good variety of snacks, bread, cheeses and wine to compile a tasty picknick basket to be enjoyed on the benches next to the delhi,... More

We were staying in Monagu and our hosts at our Guesthouse recommended and booked our boat trip at Viljoensdrift for us. We arrived in time for a free wine tasting before the river trip and then purchased a bottle of white wine to take with us on the boat. We were provided with an ice bucket and wine glasses and... We took a few days off to explore the Robertson valley and a visit to Viljoensdrift was on our to do list. Even tho it was drizzling it was still a great trip. We had an a amazing wine tasting, bought a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon and a few goodies from the deli for the boat trip and off we... More

Visited Viljoensdrift during Wacky Wine weekend. Enjoyed their bubbly. Lovely vibe and croissant to die for. Boat trips every hour. They really went the extra mile in presentation of their brand. Will be back next year.

This is wonderful experience. You get to taste the wine, then buy your favorite wine and go for a boat ride on the Breede river. The ride is about 50minutes. There is also a Deli from which you can buy whatever you want for the pick nick basket that you can then take onto the boat. It is a very... More

We made the mistake of having a late brunch so we were full and couldn't have a deli picnic while on the boat and had a few snacks instead. So advice for other travelers is to arrive hungry for the cruise. The cruise itself is nothing to write home about. The boat probably doesn't even go a kilometer up and... More

After our morning walking mcgregor we decided on a relaxed lunch and chose to drive thru to Viljoensdrift. A Beautiful setting besides the river with choice of the deck or grass and picnic benches. We ordered the full tapas range to share. The platter was a mixture of good to poor selection. We would have preferred to not have the... More

A very civilised and yet down to earth experience - lovely setting, relaxing river cruise, fantastic food and some of my favourite wines! All the staff are great too, very flexible and accommodating to my grandma who needs assistance with a wheel chair.

This spot was recommended to us at Graham Beck. An unexpected gem . Chose picnic hamper items from the deli and ate lunch in a very peaceful river setting. Wonderful home made pates, cheeses and fresh breads.
