Relaxing day with good music

Relaxed boat trip with picnic lunch. Deli caters for everyone. Platters are good and so was the grape juice. Lovely afternoon spent relaxing and listening to music.

What a perfect way to spend an afternoon! First we were able to taste some of their wines, then put together our own custom chosen picnic from their well stocked deli. Then all aboard the little floating barge for a relaxing cruise up & down a stretch of the Breede River. After the cruise we relaxed in a shady patch... More

We visited the Viljoensdrift Wine Farm two weeks ago & this really pumped up our spirits of our girls-weekend weekend! Relaxing on the river with a picnic basket filled with goodies right from their deli & a few bottles of vino, resulted in great relaxation & silly fun! We sat on the upper level for the ferry & this trip... More

OK, so the food is fine - after all, deli food is deli food. The Single Vineyard Pinotage is to die for. But WHAT ON EARTH leads the proprietors to believe that an amplified voice and electric guitar (plus drum track) makes for an enjoyable Sunday lunch on the beautiful banks of the Breede River? Happy Hour from 4pm to... More

Going to Viljoensdrift is a real treat. By far one of my favourite things to do when I visit my father in the Cape. It is absolutely beautiful there and the feeling of peace you get sipping on good wine, eating cheese and floating along the Breede River is hard to beat. The lovely picnic baskets with lovely snacks completes... More

This is a very pleasant way to spend a few hours between wine tastings and grab a snack as well. There are well kept lawns next to the boat mooring and delhi. The delhi has a good variety of snacks, bread, cheeses and wine to compile a tasty picknick basket to be enjoyed on the benches next to the delhi,... More

We were staying in Monagu and our hosts at our Guesthouse recommended and booked our boat trip at Viljoensdrift for us. We arrived in time for a free wine tasting before the river trip and then purchased a bottle of white wine to take with us on the boat. We were provided with an ice bucket and wine glasses and... This wine farm has the added benefit of daily river cruises - this is a great way to spend a few hours, by picking up a picnic selection of food from the onsite deli and then either enjoying it overlooking the river or in deed taking it on board and savouring the food whilst taking a leisurely cruise down the... We took a few days off to explore the Robertson valley and a visit to Viljoensdrift was on our to do list. Even tho it was drizzling it was still a great trip. We had an a amazing wine tasting, bought a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon and a few goodies from the deli for the boat trip and off we... More
