We were on a day trip with Chamonix listed as a "must visit". Awesome setting but really disappointed in the wine tasting cente. I expected so much more from a place adjacent to a Reuben restaurant. The tasting cente is so run down, it cannot even be called quaint. It need not be glitzy, but truly needs to some attention.... More

Drove up the road of a dozen stopstreets to buy a wine rated five stars by the Platter guide. I wanted to taste it first but we arrived just as a crowded wine tram was pulling in. The tasting room staffer was indifferent to the point of rudeness in trying to rush me out of the small room before the... More

We went to Chamonix for a wine tasting and fell in love with their Sauvignon Blanc. Sadly there was none left for sale. The sales lady was so wonderful - she managed to get us a bottle from the restaurant! That is service that went above and beyond! Sadly I never got the ladies name 😕 We went on 16/12/2015 if... More

Small, charming tasting patio and inside room with the best wines around. We went to several wineries and while some are more opulent (Monette), Chamonix's wines were the boldest and finest.

A number of positive upgrades have taken place since our last visit. The wine however is still really good and the staff at the tasting room are both knowledgeable and friendly and made for a most enjoyable tasting. Two interesting additions to the collection as well - Schweden Bitter and a lovely Brandy.

You feel welcome as soon as you enter the very old building/hut and are being served wines by the fireplace - and can easily imagine how the smiths toiled over a much bigger fire here in the old days. A small cozy restaurant, and at Chamonix I would definitely go for their white wines

We decided to do the Chamonix wine tasting and was amazed at the spectacular flavours that floats on the pallet. The view is fantastic, and sitting in front of an old coal fireplace was just so nice, having good wine and excellent friends around you.

We had a very pleasant experience doing wine tasting at Chamonix. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The wines and schnapps was also delectable.

Wine tasting and lunch was the agenda. We tasted about 9 wines (only paid for 6 but we did take a few home) then sat on the balcony under the trees for lunch. The acorns were falling in the canopy and the general atmosphere was different but lovely. The lamb chops I ordered were simply divine and combined with everything... More
