a very high class provencial style winery and estate - Cape Town at its best ! The wines are outstanding especially the Sauvignon Blanc and the whole setting is incredible. A friend said that it was like stepping into a postcard when I took him there and we had lunch.

Admittedly it was a stunning summer day and we had a large table (14 people ) out in the garden, but the food was excellent and the service very attentive. I speak for all my guests, when I say this was a memorable lunch, because it was in a stunning location, coupled with excellent food and service

This is another 'must do' if you like to go out and see tings for part of the day. The grounds have interesting sculptures to see. There is a restaurant for lunch. And a fascinating art gallery. But husbands beware- My wife bought a football sized round vase and we carried it all the way back to England safely wrapped... More

Had lunch here with excellent food and service and reasonable prices. You could sit indoors or out depending on the weather.

I visited this restaurant with my family for the second time in the past twelve months during a three week stay in Franschhoek and once again I went away feeling disappointed. The setting is really beautiful and the food was generally very good although a little over fussy. The service was disappointing even though it was practically empty at the... More

Even if you are not that interested in wine tasting, Grand Provence is worth a visit. You are greeted on arrival by a life size statue of an elephant. The winery was established in 1694 and is set in picturesque gardens dotted with a variety of interesting statues. The view is equally picturesque. The cellar door staff were hospitable and... More

We had a great time there, bought some good red wine... Had great service from the staff. I'd say this is a good stop on the wine tram tour.

Went for a wine tasting and made the mistake of arriving twenty minutes before they closed. The staff completely ignored us despite it being pretty much empty. Eventually managed to speak to someone who just shoved two forms in front of us, no pen, no explanation. I asked what we had to do and it was pointed out immediately that... More

It was our last stop with the wine tram, but there was so much to see and visit that we had to little time to do a whole wine tasting. It's a lovely setting with beautiful gardens and wine yards. We enjoyed the small nice wine tasting which was just to short for us.

The estate's gardens are in excellent condition. Dining in the gardens is quite pleasant and made a huge impression on our guests we hosted for business purposes. The food was really good from starters to desserts. Also good for couples that wants a romantic day or night out dining next to the wine yards.
