Lovely setting with beautiful gardens. Saw a couple of squirrels in and around the big oak tree. Wines were nice, and the sculptures make for interesting conversation and pictures.

This place was cold, uninviting and lacked atmosphere...disappointed. When tasting the wines, it was like the staff were going through the motions, no life in them. It was a very strange experience and not one I would repeat. The only upside the wine tasting roon...More

Very nice for wine tasting. They have a nice art gallery, restaurant and a shop to buy trinkets. The art gallery is outstanding. They have a cheetah retreat to save the animals from extinction. Definitely a place to spend a few hours. Large venue and...More

We spent one night at Grande Provence, which was the ideal location when spending the day on the wine tram experience, finishing the tram at our accommodation (blue line). We did the wine tasting outside, which had stunning views of the mountains and grounds of...More

Grand Provence is one of the must see wine estates in Franschhoek. Cosy tasting room, beautiful art gallery and formal sculpture garden. We did not eat at the restaurant, but looks good. The wine was very good and bought a gift in the little shop....More

Art pieces set in the wine gardens made it an interesting wine drinking experience But the staff are clearly overwhelmed, though friendly but unable to cope. The explanations were hurried and short, obviously wanting to get it done and move to the next order. When...More

We are at the restaurant there expecting a nice meal. I have to say most of the dishes we ordered were mediocre at best. They strive to make an effort on fusion type of cuisine, but the final product results on pretentious rather than delicious.

We stopped here as part of our Franschhoek Tram wine tasting experience and weren't disappointed at all. The wines were well presented and varied.

Lovely grounds filled with art and sculpture. Galleries inside. A great change of scenery from the other wineries. Red wines were bold and adventurous, especially the cabernet that was grown under a eucalyptus tree. Try it if you can. Lovely grounds were a great setting...More

I would think reservations are needed in tasting room on a weekday. Meals in evening and weekends are typically booked. You will love this place.
