A great location, the Motor Museum has some outstanding vehicles. 4 sheds means you walk between them and back to the informal cafe for a coffee or bite to eat. Very reasonable and I'd highly recommend to car enthusiasts or even those not that interested in cars as they are just beautiful to look at.

The cars are housed in 4 white traditional barns with gleaming white interiors. I am not a car enthusiast and we were two couples so we thought it was fair to give our men the chance to view this collection. Owner Johann Rupert has inherited and added to an amazing collection of priceless cars dating from 1899. The cars are... More

I enjoyed every second of the experience here. About 80 classic cars beautifully preserved and displayed in four classic Cape barns. Mr Rupert has quite some collection with about 300 classic cars in total with about a quarter of these on show at any one time. This museum is sensitively and smartly done. Each car is given its space to... More

Set in four beautiful Cape Dutch "barns" north of Franschhoek are displayed a rolling selection of about 85 cars dating from 1899 to recent times - the owner, Johann Rupert has >220 cars on the estate. Whether or not you are a petrol-head or not, the cars are simply beautiful, incredibly restored and preserved and are surrounded by motoring memorabilia.... More

Absolutely amazing collection of cars--truly world-class. I am not a 'petrol-head' but I do love cars, and I spent 3 hours there absolutely over-awed at the breadth and quality of the cars on display--which I heard was just a fraction of the whole collection.

Even if you are not crazy about motor cars you cannot fail to be impressed by this motor collection. We like to visiti places around and about where we are staying and this is a 'must do' visit.

We went to the motor museum only to please my partner; however, I really enjoyed it and found it very interesting.

Some lovely vehicles on display covering old and new. Be warned though on a hot day the buildings are stifling and airless ...I thought they'd be cool but they aren't. Doesn't detract from an enjoyable visit though.

Franschhoek is my favourite wine and food village in the world. Unbelievable scenery and great friendly atmosphere everywhere you go. The Motor Museum is a must for car enthusiasts and hosts some remarkable models including an Alpha Romeo owned by Prince Reiner and a Farrari owned by Mick Fleetwood.
