We stopped in with our 2 year old, hoping she wouldn't have a meltdown while waiting. There was no wait except for getting in a dressing room. They were quick and speedy, making sure to entertain our child the entire time, yet they still took time to be personable.

The whole experience was a good one, and the picture turned out great. The gentleman who was running the outfit was great and super friendly. My only complaint is that they didn't provide a cardboard sleeve to hold the photo, since we didn't purchase a frame.

I was on vacation in Wildwood with my girlfriend Ana and my family. It was my girlfriend's birthday weekend. As we walked up and down the boardwalk, she saw several of these
"old time" picture places and said that she wanted to have an old time picture taken with me. I was not very happy because I have no patience and hate waiting on lines. I told her, "maybe tomorrow" and hoped that she would forget. At 47 years old, I have no patience anymore.

Well, the next night, we were out on the boardwalk again and she didn't forget. As we passed by the other places on the boardwalk, they seemed so disorganized. Like kids working for the Summer. I was dreading to have to do this. I kept saying "maybe the next one". I finally told my brother what my girlfriend was "making" me do. He said that there was a great place in the mall. I said, "what mall?" I didn't even know that the mall existed.

He took us to Antique Images. As I checked out the operation, it was surprisingly organized. There was a crew of people and everybody had their specific job. Like an amazing assembly line. I am from New York City and have been an extra on many T.V. shows. What I was watching was not a couple of kids making money at their Summer job like the other places. I was watching what goes on behind the curtain at a Broadway show or a movie set. Total professionals in action! I was surprised to know that I didn't even have to take my clothes off. These antique clothes fit right over the clothes that I already had on. Things just got a whole lot easier!

My girlfriend and I decided that I would be a Civil War General and she would be my lady. She loves those big beautiful dresses. They dressed us up as each person took turns putting their expertise into every detail. And really quickly too, I must add! Then the owners, Mary and James gave us the "once-over" to make sure that everything was perfect. They made minor adjustments and then Mary personally took our picture. I can't believe how quickly we were in and out of there. Mary and James were fantastic people! Very funny! So professional!

We didn't have to wait long to have (2) copies of the picture made. We also chose to buy the picture frames that they suggested for us because they went perfect with the pictures and I didn't believe I would find better ones anywhere else. I am very particular. We got the perfect package and my girlfriend got the perfect birthday gift! It could not have worked out any better.

The only reason why I am taking the time to write this long review is because they truly deserve it! And after reading this, maybe some of you will not be as discouraged as I first was.
Go to Antique Images and you will find yourself compelled to write a wonderful review as well.

Thank you, Mary and James!
Thanks, brother Louie!

Best always,
Matt and Ana.

My wife and I had previous experience with several old time photo places, so when we and our friends visiting Wildwood over Memorial Day weekend decided to get one done, we were very unimpressed with what we saw out on the boardwalk. That is, until we remembered the one inside the 'mall' on the boardwalk, and my are we glad we did. They were amazing - fast paced but always on top of things. Best prices that we'd found, worked with us very well, gave us their thoughts but were open to changes. The service from all the people who worked with us were absolutely top notch. The picture also turned out great! A nice way to save a memory and a great place to have it done!

I don't usually leave reviews to many places I visit, but I have to this time. While in the end the photo came out somewhat nice, the whole experience was not what my friend and I were expecting. We were under the impression that we were able to pick EVERYTHING; from our costumes, accessories, to props, etc. When we walked in (we were there the night prior to check it out so when we came back they recognized us and were ready) we were given costumes that we, especially myself were not initially happy with. For me personally I am a curvier, full-figured female, I was expecting to put together my own costume. I was instead given such hideous options that DID NOT flatter me AT ALL. Luckily the friendly females that helped me dress were empathetic and concerned. The owners and photographers were a bit pushy and fast talkers. The owners almost seemed flustered because I was not happy with a lot of the options they kept giving me. They wouldn't let me pick my own costume out. Finally they found something good 3 costumes later. The photographers did not really consider our total vision for OUR photograph. If we are paying money for this, we want it to be done sort of our way. Then the professionals can tweak anything if need be. I understand it can get busy and they need to work quick, however they should let the customers have majority of the say when it comes to THEIR photograph. Unless the customers come in laid back with no particular vision, then sure, by all means let the professionals FULLY take over. Perhaps in the future, before customers take photos, there should be a quick questionaire about the type of theme, costumes, interests, size, etc on there. OR just let the customers choose for themselves!

The staff was very friendly and knew what was going to look best. It was very fast, fun and they give you options to choose from! This was the cheapest place to have old photos done on the boardwalk I compared with the two others and this one was cheapest and it was a great experience. I would recommend going here over the other two photo places! It is CHEAPER and they were AWESOME!

I myself, as a photographer, know good work. This place produces the best antique fun photos out of all the "old style photo" places. My husband and myself have got many portraits from here. The two guys who work here have been there for years- and have so much fun with each photo they produce. The lighting and coustumes are beautiful- spend the extra money here and leave with a beautiful work of art to treasure for life.

There is a reason why this place is rated number one in Wildwood's attractions, and that reason is excellent customer service and great professionalism. Based on the spotless reviews here on Tripadvisor, I went looking for this place, hidden inside the boardwalk mall, and I'm so glad I found it! I wanted a family portrait, with my hubby and my daughter dressed up in old time clothes, and right from the start we were greeted with such a positive energy! Our photography director (I forgot your name, sorry!) was amazing, and knew exactly what I was going for. He pulled out two dresses for me, a red one and a burgundy one, and immediately my control freak nature wanted to take over, and maybe take a look at the green dress, too (If I could have, I would have tried on all the dresses!), but he knew the right things to say, and had so much experience that I (strangely) felt immediately so comfortable with him and decided to relax and let him take charge. He wanted me in the red velvet dress and that's what I wore. He suggested a light pink one for my daughter and dressed up hubby all fancy, and with a vest that matched my dress. So much attention to detail! At the end, he helped me find the best picture, and the best finish for it (choices are black and white, sepia or full color). The picture we took home was perfect! Also, the owner was so friendly and always around, and he helped during the picture taking by making my daughter smile (she never wants to look at the camera). What a pleasant experience we had, and I'm already planning for future trips whenever we'll go back to Wildwood. Thank you guys!

We had a fantastic experience at Antique Images! As musicians, we wanted a family portrait that would capture our musical interests in period costumes, without the guns and booze, and the team at Antique Images was incredible. They brought our vision to life and the photo was perfect! They were attentive to every detail and were so easy to work with. It's no wonder they've been in business for decades.
