Great service

Rode the ferry 4 times and great experience each time. Staff was very friendly and boat was clean. The temp was 100 degrees but the boat was cool.

Boats are either on time, or very close. 8 mins from 39th St NYC to Hoboken North. Some boats have upper deck seating outside, which is nice in good weather. Climate controlled interior for less than desirable days. Bikes can be rented at both sides, utilize the included busses to get around Manhattan on the NY side, or take a... More

The ferry is fast, on time and super convenient with the free buses across town. You also get to see the Statue of Liberty from not too far. Parking is free and there's plenty of space when arriving early. However, the fare is quite expensive.

Very good way to reach New York from NJ, runs very frequently, Best deal buy tickets are online and use the app to use them, It's cheaper that way People who check the tickets on t he boat are very rude, Make sure you have your paper ticket or app ready for them, otherwise be prepared to get yelled in... I do not understand why this is listed under thing to do, it is a mode of transportation, NOT a tour boat. It's purpose is to get you across the Hudson river quickly, and it does that very well. There are trips you can book for speciality tours but the bread and butter of this operation is for commuters.

Lovely fast. Customer service is ok. Not very modern. No crisp European feel. Just plain old Nyc. No really friendly service but fast and timeous. Utilitarian.

As Canadians visiting New York we really feel that we were taken advantage of by the staff at NY Waterway. Purchased 4 round trip tickets from Weehawken and we're advised that we could use the bus service that was offered. The ticket takers apparently didn't even look at our tickets and tore them in half as we boarded the ferry.... More

This is one of the best ways to spend the afternoon or evening when you are in Manhattan. The termnal is well lit and reasonably clean. the fery ride takes a short 10 minutes or so and igt gives you breathtaking views of the new York skyline while you are heading to New Jersey. At the ferry terminal you have... More

First and foremost, my respect and thanks to all the ladies and gentlemen who provide us with a daily "quick, easy and safe crossing the Hudson river." Ever since "9/11" I'm terrified to get into the NY/NJ tunnels and avoid the subways as much as possible. Someone, due to my respiratory condition, getting sick with the buses and NY polution,... My favorite way to cross into NY from NJ is the waterways. It's a easily accessible, clean, friendly atmosphere and you have free bus transportation into the city and to take you back to the port authority when your leaving. Two bad things though. First, the names are confusing from Weehawken and we ended up buying tickets to the wrong... More
