The Delsea Drive-In is wonderful. I've literally never had a bad experience there. I've gone with a girl to see action movies. I've taken my son to see children's movies. I've taken my family to see Marvel movies. It's always been great. Even if my son can't make it to the 10:30 start of the second movie, I never feel like I've wasted my money.
Unfortunately, when you search the Delsea Drive-In, the first hit that comes up is a 1 star review saying the Delsea Drive In searches your car for other food. Yes, they do. They make it totally clear that no outside food is allowed in without paying for a food permit. However, for $20, you can bring four pizzas, three orders of fries, and a two-liter bottle of soda.
Confiscating food is an inconvenience. They once took two unopened cases of water from me, and held them until the end of the show. But it doesn't change my feelings on the experiences I've had there.

I am a regular movie-goer and it’s been devastating to me during corona times
not to be able to go see movies on the big screen. I’d seen other people going to drive-ins and decided to see if there were any nearby. That’s how I discovered Delsea. Luckily they were playing a new film that I wanted to see so off we go. Tix were $11 per person. I don’t believe there is any kind of price per car option. Just individual tix like a regular theater. You get two movies for price of tix. They have two screens but you can’t switch to watch one of the films on other screen unless you want to pay for another tix. Masks must be worn currently if you get out of your car. You get the audio through your radio. They’ll jumpstart your car in the event your battery dies. You can’t have your car running during the movie. I brought a portable radio to avoid this issue. I didn’t buy any snacks. You can’t bring in outside food unless you want to buy a $20 waiver. The presentation was great. Picture looked awesome. It was so great to be seeing a movie back on big screen. It’s kind of a far drive for me but I enjoyed it so much I’ve already been back. Movie starts close to 9pm but if you want to get a good spot arrive by like 730p.

Have made this 55 min trip many times each summer and fall. Wish I could do it more often but life gets in the way LOL. Well worth it. I've seen complaints about checking cars etc etc. If it keeps the grounds clean, safe, and helps to keep them open, I'm OK with it. Food is where they make their money to keep the place going and the prices are pretty good and comparable. I would change the way popcorn and soda is distributed BC they're the big sellers but that's minor compared to the positives. Where else can you go and get 2 movies, sometimes 3 movies for this price? No where. Great memories for and with the kids, family, and friends. Definitely recommend to those who want the experience when you were growing up and want your kids to have it. Couples or families, it's a great night. You won't be disappointed.

Love bringing my 3 kids and the wife for a night out. Cheap admission, first run movies, great sound, and the food bar is eclectic and cheap for the amount of food you get. It's an hour away from our house but definitely worth the trek

My boyfriend wanted to surprise me with tickets to the drive in for a fun movie night but realizes he purchased tickets for the wrong screen. When we arrive and mention the dilemma the employees were no help, all seemed afraid to go against the owners request of telling us tough luck pretty much. One even said that the owner says ‘oh well they should have paid attention to what they were clicking’. Rude. There was plenty of open space at the screen we wanted to see but the attendants would not let us switch. Seems like the theater needs a NEW OWNER ASAP bc the current one seems to only care about his own good. The owner had no problem showing his face to tell me not to let my dog (pets allowed on Saturdays) pee on the speakers- even though we were just calmly sitting outside. I would hardly call my experience a family fun experience.
Plus my boyfriend had to wait in the cold for another ten minutes after they told us our food was already done- then we received cold food.

This place is terrible. The customer service was horrendous. Sent us to the wrong screen 1st then questioned us when we decided to go to the correct one one it started showing. I understand having to get your food yourself. But if you tell me a time it is supposed to be ready ( normally 30 minutes), and i still have to wait in line for and additional 15 minutes, why is my food still not cooked? Then had the nerve to tell me my refund will be done when they get around to it. This place sucked from the time we got in there. Never even bother staying for the 2nd movie. Never again.

We enjoyed going here on their reopening night Memorial Day weekend. The 4 of us were glad to see recent releases , especially since the regular theaters are still closed due to the pandemic. We ordered their pizza and bottled water and enjoyed it. Very clean restrooms too. Masks are required now in all the public areas.

We go as a family once a year and we always LOVE the experience. We have been 6-8 times. The concession food is good. Last year was a bit tricky with covid and having to order on line even though cell reception isn’t the best out there, but this was an exception. Yes, they do check your car for food and ask that you be honest enough to buy a food pass if you’d like to bring in your own food. I understand because they do make their money just like regular theaters do which is off of the food. No complaints here! I’m happy to share a piece of history with my children. It’s something my family did when I was a child and I like to pass good experiences on. Another bonus, the workers are always nice and working hard to make the experience a good one. I hope they are around for years to come!

Great family night. Arrived 25 min before show, plenty early enough , helpful attendant told me to go to next row and further down closer to snack bar. We were in row 9, great spot. The screen is angled in from entrance so much better viewing at front of the row near snack bar for screen 1 furthest from entry. No rust stain on screen 1 that we noticed. Not great audio if in back rows so rely on your car radio or portable radio speakers which worked just fine. The old audio on post are not functional. Bring flashlight if need to walk after dusk to bathroom etc.
They don’t search your car for food etc but we only had water and snack. Snack bar had a line but we ate before we went. Can be dusty bc not paved, but overall great experience and would go again!

This was my 1st time there, I went with my 3 kids. We all had a good time, I also paid for the food permit. They don't hassell you with searching you stuff, but they do walk around the place to check on everyone. The only thing I suggest is to make sure you have blankets, etc if you plan to sit outside of the car, once the weather dropped it dropped. I will definitely go again.
