During iris season -- late-Apr. through mid-Sept. -- it's the loveliest place in Montclair to take a peaceful and stimulating walk in parallel. There are 4,000 irises and iris gardens from around the world contribute to its collection, including Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

When the irises bloom, you must take a trip to the Presby Gardens. Hundreds of tall irises in every color and pattern, varieties seen rarely elsewhere. Bring your camera and a picnic lunch. Irises bloom every June, so save the date for 2018 now!

We went late June when many of the irises were past their best. Even so, it is absolutely delightful. The display of different varieties is amazing and my wife (who is the flower connoisseur) was very impressed and took loads of photos.

Recommended especially during the annual May in Montclair event. Learn how tulip purists select and plant tulip bulbs so that they bloom in Very attractive patterns. It might make you more interested in botany and plant genetics. Recommended.

This place is on grass and not even ground. Probably not safe for people with walker or wheelchair. You can see those photos people post. However you can look at flowers from outside the garden.

not sure but there is a big event called May in Montclair so guessing it around then. Bird migration pattern is early May. This is Red tailed hawk territory
