Diamond in the Rough
Oct 2021 • Couples
This little museum really is a diamond in the rough in a very nice park. I wish I visited sooner. I would love to see more advertising and events done here that engage the whole public.

This is a real hidden gem, with a collection of pottery made in Trenton by famous historic potteries, such as Boehm. They also have changing exhibits of contemporary art. The hours are limited, so check their website before you go. The museum building is a beautiful Italianate mansion, another great reason to visit.

A Point of Pride -- Trenton's Museum for Art, Culture, History and Industry
Dec 2017 • Friends
This small gem is located in a former villa built in 1848. It is located in the center of Cadwalader Park, the largest park in Trenton and one designed by Frederick Law Olmstead (who also designed Central Park in NYC). The museum has an excellent collection of ceramics created by Trenton's noted pottery industry, as well as artwork from the region's most accomplished artists. The museum also has a wonderful store.

A hidden gem
Jul 2017 • Friends
This is an amazing small museum in the capitol city of New Jersey, seated on beautiful Cadwalader Park (designed by Frederick Olmstead. Yes, same designer of Central Park). Nice collection of paintings and frequent exhibits of known regional artists. Nice collection of paintings by local artist Tom Malloy, better known for his water paintings of Trenton's historic sites. Great collection of pottery from local artists and manufacturers. A good place to visit.

A Trenton Treasure!
Jul 2017 • Couples
Always enjoyable to visit and to be reminded of what Trenton produced many years ago. Also, there are other special exhibits, and, the artwork is very interesting. The gift shop offers many fine items.

Joyful!
Jun 2017 • Solo
One of those places that tourists don't learn about and locals get to experience without the crush. The annual watercolor and juried exhibits are always a delight (and I never come away without finding an artist whose work I must have). The setting so lovely, the staff (mostly volunteer) are delightful; the experience always inspiring. I am ever so grateful I can visit Ellarslie often. An absolute New Jersey treasure!
