This is a great place to hike and enjoy the natural areas of the Barnaget Bay. It is completely free. Free parking too. One warning. Be sure to have insect repellent in the warmer weather Months. Especially for ticks.

Easy trails, flat sandy surface. You can easily follow the trails out to the beach. This is an enjoyable shore park

Cattus Island has a well marked trail system that literally takes you out onto the bay. Its a pleasant walk but not too stressful for children or seniors.

Yes the environmental center. There are also some deck lined trails into the estuary area. Most main trails are hard packed dirt in the dry seasons.
