Nice views from the top. The monument tower was open when I went, and I took the stairs up to the top, though honestly it wasn't worth the bother. There are some small windows at the top and that's it. You can get a better...More

Not many places can you have a 360’ view - but you can here! Nice hiking trails and easy access to the Monument. From the top, you have views for many miles on a clear day. Interesting history in the Monument.

Living locally, we visit the park often... in the summer to swim, and picnic. Great place to have family get together . Plenty of picnic areas. The Appalachian Trail runs through as well so its a great place to take a hike.

We brought the family for a few days of camping and hiking. Everyone had fun doing what they wanted to do, something that doesn't happen often! We will be back.
