The beach is wide and super-clean. We never saw a single bit of trash. Parking is free and plentiful at the north end of town (not sure about the south). Accommodations can be made for wheelchairs on the beach.

Life guards are prevelant so you can feel safe. Know that you need to swim in designated areas. Not all beaches allow boogie boards. Surfers go to 110 street

Wife and I visited this beach in August 2016. My wife had never seen the ocean, so she was quite excited! Very clean beach. Lifeguards are assigned to the beach. Several shells for shell hunters, but not a wide variety of shells. Beach is very clean and easy to get to. Sand is very soft and clean. You don't want... More

I've been coming down to the Jerz shore since I was a kid and I'm old now ;-) What's to like about this beach? 1) No alcohol 2) No radio 3) No people selling stuff to you on the beach 4) Lifeguards staffed 9-5 5) Semi-private, you need beach tags 6) Not that crowded. And the town of Stone Harbor... More

I would concur with other post regarding rules on this beach - it is a very beautiful beach, great sand, great beach access in a well kept easy to get around town BUT the lifeguards are instructed to have all people basically stand on top of each other in front of them and that's the only place your allowed to... This beach is really nice for New Jersey. It's a shorter beach so you don't have to walk forever to get to the ocean. There are 2 life guards per stand. They do make you swim pretty much in front of the life guard stands, but we did not have a problem with that. It's 6 dollars a day or... More

Stone Harbor was recommended by several friends and colleagues - a great beach, well-maintained, clean, with easy access points and super vigilant life guards during the 10-5 hours. Tractors drag the sand every day in the early morning, so it is kept quite smooth and easy to walk on. Not at all crowded, and we went in late August. Will... More

As a lifelong resident of New Jersey, this is hands down the best beach I've ever visited here at home. To start, there was tons of parking options, at least for us. We arrived around 9:30 am on a Sunday morning and were so pleasantly surprised. The distance from the street the beach is so short, which is always a... More

Weirdest beach ever. You can get in the water a few yards on either side of a lifeguard stand AND NOWHERE ELSE. Not even up to your ankles; you can walk in the wet sand, but will get chased by a guard if you show any signs of splashing or "playing" in the water - even less than mid calf... More
