This beach is really nice for New Jersey. It's a shorter beach so you don't have to walk forever to get to the ocean. There are 2 life guards per stand. They do make you swim pretty much in front of the life guard stands, but we did not have a problem with that. It's 6 dollars a day or... More

Stone Harbor was recommended by several friends and colleagues - a great beach, well-maintained, clean, with easy access points and super vigilant life guards during the 10-5 hours. Tractors drag the sand every day in the early morning, so it is kept quite smooth and easy to walk on. Not at all crowded, and we went in late August. Will... More

As a lifelong resident of New Jersey, this is hands down the best beach I've ever visited here at home. To start, there was tons of parking options, at least for us. We arrived around 9:30 am on a Sunday morning and were so pleasantly surprised. The distance from the street the beach is so short, which is always a... More

Weirdest beach ever. You can get in the water a few yards on either side of a lifeguard stand AND NOWHERE ELSE. Not even up to your ankles; you can walk in the wet sand, but will get chased by a guard if you show any signs of splashing or "playing" in the water - even less than mid calf... More

We visited in early June. The water was too cold to get in but the beach was beautiful and the weather cool enough to actually enjoy being on the beach. Our family had never gone to the NJ shore before but we will return and Stone Harbor is absolutely beautiful!

This is my 7th year coming to Stone Harbor. The beach is clean, the downtown adorable, and it's very safe. I love this beach town. I have been with my husband and also a girl's trip. It's close to Cape May and The Wildwoods and just has a certain charm. I'll be back, hopefully many more times.

Beach tags required in Avalon and Stone Harbor before 5 pm in the summer. Very well maintained. Fabulous sand. Easy access from free parking side street.

Pretty much an everyday destination for our family during the Summer. Surfing allowed on 109th street beach.

Avalon and Stone Harbor make up the 7 Mile Beach. The beaches are not the best in the world but work just fine for us. Beyond the sand and dunes we gave a fantastic variety of 5 star restaurants, fantastic shopping and a very friendly and safe community to relax and enjoy.

a treasure - small town vibe, spotlessly clean, nice people (locals and visitors), great recreation, soft sand, clean water, medium sized waves, high end eating and shopping. I could go on and on. Relaxation the second you drive across the back bay!
