The boardwalk is well maintained. You can easily ride a bike from Spring Lake all the way to Asbury Park Beach and have lunch and return. The ocean looked great and the beach looked clean.

I walked on the Spring Lake Boardwalk several times in August 2020. It is about 2.2 miles long and a very nice place for walking and exercise. The north end is near two arches which mark the border between Spring Lake and Belmar. The south end is near Sea Girt. Along the way there are two pavilions and two gazebos. The second gazebo heading south is Washington Street and you can exit here to walk to Third Avenue which has shops and restaurants. The Spring Lake Boardwalk is a very pleasant place to walk and it is near the beach and ocean.

I have been going to Spring Lake for about three (3) decades. This is a very well-maintained boardwalk, and it has great views of the beach towards the east and many elegant houses towards the west. There is a lot of free parallel parking on the streets. This is a very affluent area, and it is safe and busy. There is a fast food restaurant on the boardwalk, as well.

We love walking on the Spring Lake boardwalk - it's always clean and well maintained. On our recent visit, all of the benches have been removed and stored in a pavillion. It seems to be an extreme COVID measure because scientifically, the virus can't live outdoors very long. Consequently, there was no place to sit in the shaded pavilions.

Yes, they stick to the rules but this is what makes Spring Lake so special for us. It is clean, the boardwalk is wonderful with nothing but a view of the ocean and a beautiful neighborhood.

This boardwalk is so clean it's unbelievable. The town is very quiet and very beautiful. You will enjoy walking morning, afternoon, or evening on this lovely boardwalk. No splinters, garbage, or sand. Lots of breezes, dune grasses, and benches. Note that there are no dogs allowed at any time. Enjoy!

The boardwalk is about 2 miles long in one of the most beautiful shore towns in New Jersey. There are several bathrooms and a snack place. Plenty of free parking.

Love this boardwalk! Great place to take an early morning walk or evening stroll. There are two pavilions located at each end that have food concessions, beach shops and restrooms. Outdoor showers are located there to rinse off after a day on the beach. Outdoor seating is also available.

A great day to spend with family or others including pets. The lake here is a very large area for a walk. There are also a couple of bridges to cross. You can see some turtles, lily pads and of coarse frogs. As a day to learn some nature or just relax this is the place to go. If you prefer something more active then there is the beach, just a skip away, great place to cool down after a walk around the lake

Spring Lake is somewhere you go if you live there. The boardwalk is bland and there is hardly a place to eat for blocks n blocks. The beach is horrendous in that you can't bring anything to eat or drink from the boardwalk onto the sand.

What street is the best place to park in order to be close to bathrooms and food? Thanks!

Hi, does the beach ever get full on July 4th weekends? Can we arrive around 10AM and still hope to get in?

Doubt it. We never go on weekends or holidays. Too much traffic and way too many people. Winter is best for us. It is empty there.
