Our family went for the day and enjoyed the beauty all around us. It cost $10.00 each for adults and kids were free. Parking was easily accessible and free. We brought a cooler with food and drinks and safely left it on the boardwalk as per the rules which are enforced. Beach was filled with other families and kept very... More

Very relaxing and soothing atmosphere. Not crowded at all (although I visited mid-week at noon) and clean. Non-metered parking. Only drawback - food and drinks not allowed on beach although I did see a few beach goers with snack bags/water tucked away. Lots of surfers; lifeguards were watchful of waves, especially with the kids. Perfect weather for a perfect beach... More

No young teenagers or abnoxiuous people. Just a great calm and relaxing atmosphere. Definetly my favorite NJ beach (along with Cape May). Just wish that you could at least bring drinks on the beach (non alcoholic drinks I mean). Besides that, the beach is calming and beautiful. Very clean:)!!!!

Washington Ave beach was tranquil and stunning the week before MMD WE. It is also a little less crowded then Belmar Beach in the summer but they do not allow food or beverages on the beach.

Even though it was only in the 60's we still got to sit on the beach which was immaculate. Loved watching the ocean while sitting in the sand.

Spring Lake beaches , no coolers, no food, no drinks of any kind on the beach. Check with the Spring Lake PD to see if that rule is still in effect for the upcoming season. If so go to Belmar, 2 blocks in from the beach no meters to feed. Same nice sand family friendly.

Very large wonderful beach. Easy access from the boardwalk. Soft sand. In March there were a lot of dog walkers on the beach.

Walking the boardwalk was fantastic-friendly town. Waves produced a wonderful calmness.the town was unique & a treat to visit. Again, everyone we met was soon friendly. Made us wanting to move there!!!

My judgement averages the good impression of the beach and water against the fact that you are charged 10$ to enter (too much for a family!) and that the baywatch team is too oppressive..... They did not even allow us to walk on the rocks....

WE came to Spring Lake for a romantic weekend and stayed at a Bed and Breakfast near the beach. Spring Lake is a very pretty town with nice inns and wonderful restaurants. The downtown area is cute, nothing extravagant, but with some cute stores. The beach itself is nice. Contrary to what the signs say, you can bring food and... More
