Rented kayaks for the Quaker Bridge - Batsto route near the end of the season. The route is beautiful and well-maintained, with enough twists and turns to keep the paddling interesting. Having a group like Pinelands Adventures is the best way to do this trip - the drop off and pickup were well-organized and saved us the pain of shuttling cars between points.

Are you stressed out from everyday life? I am - big time, but a kayak in general and especially a trip on the Batsto River, helps me reset my mind. The team at Pinelands Adventures is wonderful, educated on the environment and very thorough. They take care of everything so you can just unwind and enjoy. Paddling down the river, it is absolutely quiet. All you hear are the crickets and your paddles caressing the water. It is MAGICAL. Quiet is renewing, and now with the fall leaves changing color, WOW!! We went a few weeks back for a guided tour (thanks Monica and Jeff) and liked it so much we returned yesterday (thanks Drew). We are so glad we did! It's a safe, easy outdoor activity that just about anyone can master. Try it, you won't be sorry. I wish the owners and staff great continued success and pray that beautiful environment remains protected and pristine for years to come. To anyone who makes fun of New Jersey, come take the Batsto 4 hour paddle (or start with the shorter 2 hour) and I promise that you will change your tune. It's a beautiful environment in nature. Enjoy!

Great day out for a paddle. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Pinelands is an interesting NJ bayou kind of place. Paddle was a slow moving creek with a couple of sandy beaches to stretch my legs. Then opened up to a savannah. No people or houses along the way really makes for a total nature immersion. Driver was super nice to take me right back after since I had taken a spill and was wet from head to to on a cool day. Really appreciate that!
