I have been riding my bike on the canal tow path for years and I love it. There are many places where you can park your car and enter the path (maps are available). I especially like the sections with Carnegie Lake on one side...More

Nice easy walking along the canal’s towpath as well as cycling. The canal offers canoeing, kayaking and I did see some folks fishing at one spot. There’s also canoe/kayak rentals available. There’s limited birding, I could hear them, just couldn’t see that many to identify....More

Love walking along the Raritan Canal - it's a long stretch and one can enjoy the water as well as nature. This is good any time of year. People are out walking, jogging biking and just taking advantage of the outdoors.

I visited the Six Mile Run Reservoir Site part of this State Park and enjoyed the walk by the river. It's wild and beautiful with wooded areas and open fields. The walk by the river is so peaceful. A good place to be with nature.

We did a biking trip along the canal in early November. The trail was not paved but fairly flat, the leaves were in full colors. It was a very pleasant ride. There are many parking along the canal.

I used to live very close from the canal, where the trail is located in between the canal and Carnegie lake. I enjoy running and bicycling on the trail. I also went on kayak on the canal : I would go north on Milstone river...More

We have biked various parts of the park before. It's shady and so it's a nice ride when it's sunny. It's generally not busy. There are several spots to get on trail: on Washington Rd, Alexander Rd or Quaker Rd. You can also rent kayaks...More
