I came to do the tomb escape room with my family. We had a lot of fun and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys escape rooms. The realistic set of the tomb was cool, with fun props throughout. The game master Rich was really nice. Weve done a bunch of escape rooms and found this one to be pretty difficult. We needed lots of hints to make progress. But other than that it was great. The room feels like Indiana Jones temple of doom.
Just a PSA- this room requires ducking and bending, also has small dark spaces
Thanks Rich!

We have a new favorite haunted house after visiting them for their halfway to Halloween event in May. Incredible sets and the actors were extremely interactive. My favorite is Frankie. Tried to get a picture of him but couldn't find him again. We will be back for this Halloween, can't wait!

My friend and I booked a lane at the Hack Shack and believe me, we were not disappointed!! While it is confusing as to where to park and get in, we were able to find a very friendly staff member (actor for the Brighton Asylum I believe) who helped us. We were met by our axemaster, Morgan, who gave us invaluable instruction (neither one of us had ever thrown an axe in our lives!) and patiently offered tips when one of us had an errant axe throw. After we had warmed up and become somewhat used to throwing axes, my friend and I went head to head in some competitive games. We were fairly closely matched so it would often come down to the last throwing of the hatchet to see who has won! This was such an amazing experience, I highly recommend booking a lane!

This place was definitely overhyped with all of the other reviews I have read regarding what it was like. My friend and I booked our tickets for the earliest available time (strongly recommend) the wait was maybe 15-20 min before we were let inside. They way they let us in was divided into groups of maybe 8ish people, but I found it to be overcrowded inside and we were running into the group in front of us as well as the group behind us catching up fairly quickly. Multiple times throughout we would be stopped in a hallway because we were literally on top of the other groups. It was also not scary because of how crowded it was you would see when a live actor would pop out to scare someone. Even with this happening we finished all 3 sections in maybe 30 min. Honestly not worth the price or hype. The designs within the rooms were the only cool thing, but I didn’t go to look at the walls -_-

I had been to Brighton Asylum years ago for the haunted house experience. It was amazing! I've been ranting about this place since and told so many people to go there. My boyfriend and I decided to try out one of the escape rooms. 0/10, it was so bad. they had construction going on I guess, so there was material and tools everywhere. They were actively working so there was a lot of banging which made it hard to differentiate sounds from the room or otherwise. it was pretty much a sketchy warehouse with props. the room itself didnt even have a ceiling and was dingy. the actual gameplay also sucked. i've done a lot of escape rooms and this one felt like a mess. just a bunch of lock boxes and codes. not really much fun puzzles. it wasnt really clear how to go about the puzzles they did have. on top of this, the gamemaster was gone half the time. its not their fault they were running 3 other games but its kind of ridiculous how much time we waited for clues. we literally sat down and waited it was taking so long. ive never given up in a room before but we didnt even want to continue. absolute waste of money, really dissapointing.

Bad review. Not sorry. Host was condescending our entire visit. The clues didn’t connect and it overall felt like a waste of money. Nothing about this experience was scary and she was way too involved watching us and barking rules. We’ve done Beat the Bomb and another Escape room and the experiences were vastly different. You were hosting grown women, not kids; remember that next time you bark “fix the bed” and warnings about cell phones to a mom. You caught us on the right day because another day things would’ve turned bad. I’d make a refund request if I could to be perfectly honest.

Don't waste your precious time & money at this dump. For $73 Fast Pass, I shouldn't have to wait at all and be escorted in right away, but no, we had to wait 2.5 hours to walk through a dark hallway that is filled with lame actors and props that do not scare you at all. There are so other attractions that are cheaper and a lot scarier than this place. Do yourself a favor, save your money and go elsewhere.

Hello Mario Gonzalez. Found your tickets. You purchased our "scared stiff" fast pass, which includes additional activities other than the haunted houses. Your time arrival was 8pm according to your tickets. We can't say for sure what time you actually arrived but your tickets were scanned at 8:25pm. Of course you had to park and go through security before getting on the fast pass lane. So your claim of a 2.5 hour wait is simply not possible as you can see. At maximum it could only be 25 min and even then, it was likely far less. You also claim you walked through "one dark hallway"? We would complain too if that is all we received for that price. Thankfully that's not the case. You experienced 3 world class haunted houses filled with live actors, special effects, over the top animations, and a lot more. It's very difficult to improve an experience for a guest when the review is not addressing an actual issue that took place. Feel free to reach out should you decide to reveal the real motivation behind these comments. Thank you.

We did the twitching hour. Thought it was going to be awesome going into an old asylum but turns out we just walked through one of the haunted attractions. The hosts gave us a ridiculous history of the place which you can’t find anything online at all about it. One host kept trying to rush us through the attraction and you could clearly tell she didn’t want to be there. It was just a warehouse not an actual old asylum. Such a waste of time and definitely not worth $50. We should have just done the regular attractions.

The room is old, and even if we were doing the correct things to keep going, the mechanisms a couple of times didn't work, which was a little frustrating.

There was also an intermitent loud noise going on in the facility while we were in the room (made by a machine I believe). It didn't bother me too much since I was focused on the puzzles but it is something to consider.

Other than that, some of the puzzles were cool and clever and others were quite vague, to the point that you had to almost guess what to do and try random things until suceeding.

I still had a good time but I would personally not recommend this room to a friend.

Hello Paloma. We can assure you that everything in Curse of the Tomb works, and worked on the day of your experience. The game is not "old" it's designed to feel like you are in an old, ancient tomb. The distressing in the room can make it "appear" that way but it is for show only. The sound you hear is our air compressor, which is required for the cool effects in the room. It is rarely activated and only for a moment. We must push back that "guessing" is required in our escape rooms. It is not. Everything required to solve the game is available in the room. Curse of The Tomb is our more challenging room, but we still have a very high success rate of escape. If you like high tech puzzles, a realistic environment, and a friendly staff eager to help you succeed, Brighton Asylum Escape is absolutely worth the try.

Disclaimer before the owner sends me a nasty response, I am a former employee at Brighton. While I left because of poor management, the haunt was always beautiful. I haven’t been back since I left. Tonight I decided to bring my best friend because she had never been to a haunt before. I am embarrassed that I brought her. Visually, the building and decor is as beautiful as ever. We bought 3 GA tickets for 8pm. We waited online until 10:40. Over 2 hours in line. 3 separate lines. The tickets cost me over $160. The walk through of all 3 buildings took us less than 20 minutes. The worst part - the actors. The ones they had, did what they could. There were barely any actors. There was about 5 mins or so of the walk through with no actors. And trust me, there are plenty of spots to put them. I was so disappointed. My husband and friend were also disappointed. I have worked in multiple haunts and have attended more than I can count and this was probably by far the worst one I have gone through for such a long wait time. Like I said, visually stunning. But that’s a waste when there’s barely any actors to bring it to life. From an outside perspective, it looks like they spent so much money adding the escape room, axe throwing, carnival game, and horror museum that they forgot to pay attention to the actual star of the show.
