We got great support from the staff. They have different games with and without the axes which made it more fun. I recommend getting a groupon or some other discount because even with the discounts, I spent a lot of money for a group of 6. You don’t get to throw the ax so often if you come with a group because each person has his turn and then has to wait behind for safety reasons,

We brought our company for a company get together. AFter a short training with our Axe-Master, Javier, we played two games. Our Axe-Master was great. He kept the company engaged with two fun games. Definately recommend Bury the Hatchet.

We recently celebrated both my son’s and his friend’s 15th Birthdays at Bury The Hatchet. We were a group of 12 ranging in age from 15 to in our 50s. We all had a great time. For most of us, it was our first time axe throwing. Our axe master Ace was excellent. He kept us entertained, taught us proper form and different techniques for throwing the axe, cheered us each on and was very patient with us. We were even allowed to bring in our own food which was a huge bonus. Each axe throwing bay also comes with the use of a picnic table. We can’t wait to go back again!

We had gone to Bury the Hatchet in Paramus for a double date towards the end of the night, our reservation was from 8-9pm. There were 2 other parties there, including one that had about 15-20 people. The only person that was on the floor demonstrating to everyone came to our party for about a minute and gave quick instructions since it wasn't our first time. He then left and didn't come back until our time was up. He was not helpful at all and told everyone to give him a five-star rating (as if he had earned it). I will not be returning to this place any time soon. It was much better when I went in March when Christian was there, it was so much more fun and he came up with different games for my party to play.

I was ok with waiting for 1.5 hours until they were ready for our party of 3. They gave us the final slot of the night (1 hour) until 10:15pm. This was our first time axe throwing. The entire instructor part of the class lasted about 5 minutes and the guy was beyond rude. If we didn't step correctly when throwing or have the right posture when throwing he would make nasty comments like "Were you not listening to anything I said?" or "Stop it. You're still doing it wrong." It made the whole experience terrible until the point that we didn't even feel comfortable throwing the axes while he was around (he was moving from booth to booth). Any time he came to ours he was rude again. At 10pm they started rushing us out even though they said our session was until 10:15. They let us stay til the end but at that point it was such a sour experience that we wanted to leave. I'd recommend trying this activity, just not in Paramus.

Just what I said, request Ryan as your axe master. He was amazing to work with and throughout the entire night he was the only axe master who really got his group into the game. We had an amazing time and Ryan was a big reason why.

went as a group of 9 to celebrate my brothers birthday. This was our first time here. Gary was fantastic. He made it fun and helped all of us throw the axes. He also properly enforced the rules so no one got hurt. You get 2 hours which is plenty of time. They don't have any food or drink but encourage you to bring what you want. They have a fridge to keep your items cold. We really had a fantastic time and would encourage you to go. Glad you Axked!

We all had a good time and the staff was friendly and supportive . My only advice would be to give better instruction. The music was loud so in big groups you can’t hear as well. Or maybe get horns. We ended up all getting it but I feel we could’ve done better with a little more guidance

Over the holidays we decided to take our family to Bury the Hatchet. The experience was great, staff was friendly and helpful. Relaxing atmosphere to just hang out have a few beers and have a little competitive fun. I would recommend for a group outing, a birthday party (adults) or even a corporate event.

I visited on a date and Craig made us feel so comfortable. He's funny and explains techniques quite well. He gave us a good amount of space and occasionally walked by with an encouraging comment, advice on technique or generally witty comment. The place itself was quite charming and gave a small town feel
