My teen children (18 and 15) and I really enjoyed taking the Waverunners out for a spin in the bay. Everything was done professionally and safely.
Things you should know: It’s around USD$80/waverunner for 30 mins (which I felt was plenty of time, but you can rent for longer); you have to be 16+ with a valid drivers licence to drive the waverunner (others can be passengers); there’s no onsite parking so you have to find a space on Bay Ave or a nearby side street.

Quick and easy to book, get signed in, and get on the water. The wave runner worked as intended was comfortable and appeared in good condition. The space we had to drive around was large enough to be able to pick up speed and maintain good distance from the other riders/boats. They were liberal with the hour booked and although I didn’t do the exact math, I believe they let us run over the hour by 10 minutes or so. All in all a great time.

Tried Wet & Wild Waverunner for the time on August 6. Decided upon WWW after calling a competitor and was taken aback by the non-customer service and annoyance with my questions. WWW was very professional, courteous, helpful and run a very organized operation. Although the riding area is contained, the circumference is large enough for you to get speed, get air and overall have a wonderful time. The staff was GREAT!

We had a decent experience...fun. They were very informative and friendly, the staff. I ended up using the ski with reverse on it which was fine by me. Ive ridden on wave runners before, not in a long time as I own a 25 ft boat now, so getting on one of these brought back memories. Now Im thinking of buying one for myself to go along with my boat. The water was rough which if you arent used to being in open water than I can see some people have problems out there in it. No fault of anyone except mother nature. The area is a bit small, for me at least, but Im seasoned in the water. Having beginner skiers with the rest of skiers who know what they are doing can be a little messy as you cant go as fast especially if one is front of you. It is what it is .... definitely a great time though! Im looking into getting one as they are fun and worth it if you are into boating and fun. Time went by pretty fast though Time flies when you are having fun , right?! I tipped the guy who helped us. He deserved it :)

The girl at the front booth was extremely friendly with our group of 8 and was very helpful with what we needed to fill out and do.
The rest of the crew was informative and for the most part friendly. the head guy and i am only assuming that because he was walking around telling everyone that worked there what to do was a little abrasive towards the customers but maybe he was having a bad day. He did tell a customer that was not wearing a mask that he couldn't help him until he put a mask on which I found to be correct thing to do during the pandemic so for that i give him a thumbs up.
The process was very straight forward and the loading and unloading was quick.
The area was large enough to be able to open the jetski to full throttle and there was plenty of space to the inside if you wanted to take a break.
The safety response team was quick to action. I saw a couple flip over and within 10 seconds there were 3 people from W&W there to assist.
Overall it was a fun thing to do for 1 hour and i always felt safe. My 14 yo daughter had a blast even though she couldn't drive it (she had before in Puerto RIco).
I would recommend this to anyone that is looking to do something different while at the beach.

We have have brought the family to OC NJ for one week the last 25 years, since our oldest was born. When the four kids were young, we spent money on the boardwalk rides, mini-golf, pizza, and water ice. Now that they are older, the rides are out, and COVID also prevented grazing and people watching on the boards, so we had to up the ante and try this for the first time.
We offered the "kids" (ages 16, 20, 22, and 22, all with drivers licenses) the option of their own unit for 30 mins, or to double up for an hour and they could switch drivers in the water. They all took the hour deal, which was cheaper for me, 2 units. Plus we booked for a 6:15pm slot so saved on their coupon deal.
We showed up early, filled out the waivers, the girls put on the optional "water shorts"...PFD's on..all riders wore masks and shoes to the waverunners, then put all their "stuff" into a bin for each waverunner...they were shortly on their way and out in the bay. Only one rider was "tossed" into the drink but she had a great time and climbed right back on.
We may not do this every year (unless they want to pay their own!), maybe every other, but they all had a great time and they would love to do it again. Parking was not an issue at 6:15pm either, right on the street.

We are or a group of six people that rented 4 jet skis for a one hour session at Wet and Wild. We all had a great time. Our teenage boys loved them. It was their first time on jet skis. I felt very comfortable riding on the back of a JetSki with my teenage daughter. I especially appreciated all the safety instructions they gave us as well as the three guides on jet skis who were in the area at all times. Highly recommend.

The owners of Jet ski were very kind, friendly and helpful. Also, since we were group of 18 people, they had 5 guards who used to patrol the driving area and help us out in case of any problems. As said "First Impression is the last impression", I must say that I had enjoyed a lot and I would recommend family/friends/couples to visit and try the thrilling experience.

The staff and safety review is first class. They are extremely helpful and courteous. A+ there. On the other hand, our experience in the water was awful. There were so many skis out there, it was not fun. To pay $110 per ski for the hour and to have that many people out there was not fun and in fact stressful. I rented 4 skis, my kids were out there and my wife and I were concerned the entire time that we could not enjoy ourselves. It was not worth $440. I don’t imagine us returning the WNW Rentals because the cost isn’t worth it.

How old do you have to be to be a driver on a waverunner? We will be on vacation with my son who will be 16 and was wondering if he would be able to drive one.
Written May 14, 2018
Hi Beth! He can be a driver if he has a license or if there is an adult on the jet ski with him.
Written May 16, 2018
$50 for 30 mins
$80 for an hour
I also believe they change $5 extra per person (excluding the driver)
