I feel this is probably the best boardwalk in south Jersey. Usually go in July or August. They had a great car show right on boardwalk. Souvenir shopping was limited as it was past the end of season but the atmosphere was great. This is always a great place to go

We went the second week of September and although a few shops were closed a lot were still open. Also the amusement park Square still open in the evening during the week which was nice.

The boardwalk in O.C. is very family-oriented. It's wide so even when it's busy, you don't feel terribly crowded. It's hard to go wrong with 2.5 miles of boardwalk! Tons of little eateries, shops, mini-golf, rides, etc., give one lots to explore and enjoy. We rented bikes and rode the whole length, enjoying every bit of it.
