Once you arrive to OCNJ you will love it! The beaches are beautiful and hard to compare to anything else. Very family friendly and a dry town. (Pick it up on your way in). Beware that there are only a few routes in to the island. Many are one lane and you will sit in traffic for hours. Try to... More

This speech consists entirely of families with young children. There are no teenagers or college age kids here. As such, there is no rowdiness and it is not a "meat market" like most of the beaches at the Jersey shore. The fact that are no bars and alcohol is prohibited in the town and is strictly enforced, makes the area... More

As the beach is so crowded, it can be tough to find a quiet place. The water was very rough, no swimming here this year. If charging for beach tags, shouldn't the beach be cleaner? I am always disgusted by polluters, and I truly believe we should all clean up after ourselves, but...if trash is left on the beach, shouldn't... More

Ocean City has several sizes of beaches, depending upon the jetties. All of them seemed pretty packed with people. If you think you want to have some personal space, sit at beaches that are north or south of the main boardwalk area! That being said, the beach is comfortable, the people are friendly, and lifeguards are on the ball. I... More

We went to this beach and found that expanse of sand not very deep making it very very crowded. Difficult to find a place to settle down

Personally, I am not a fan of the beach tags, people should know better than to pay $5 or $10 just to access a beach. If you are going to be charged to go to a beach, then there should be superior services provided for such like the use of chairs on the beach, umbrellas, stuff like so... I don't... More

My favorite beach in NJ. Where I live their are closer ones 1 hour away. But we drive almost 2 and half hours for our weekly vacation in Ocean City. Family friendly. No riff raff. Stay away from beach on 8th and 9th ave, especially on weekends. But beaches south of 7th or my preference 12th and 13th street beaches... More

The beach was very nice, but cost to use. This is a non-smoking beach as is most of Ocean City. My wife and I loved just walking on the beach/water. The water was very clear up to about 4 feet of water.

Our family has been vacationing in Ocean City for over twenty-five years because this is the most wonderful beach and family friendly fun place!! Large, clean with easy access. Loads of families, no alcohol and plenty of lifeguards on duty. This beach affords lots of activities and you can rent umbrellas, chairs, etc. The water is warm with tons of... More

Beach was beautiful and friendly as always! But the ramp to exit the beach had holes that both my sister and I fell (with hands full of chairs, bags, etc.). She broke her toe and I strained my ankle and skinned my knees.
