We have summered here every summer for atmeaat the past 35 years, usually for at least two weeks a year. The beach is wide and beautiful, without a steep drop-off, and free! Great waves clean water. Westby on the inlet side and it is very quiet especially at night. Always a very pleasant experience. Due to the COVID Pandemic we only came down late in the season. We were appalled to see the lack of face coverage and physical distancing. The condo we rented is a multi unit structure with an elevator and small lobby. No one wearing masks or even making an attempt at distancing. Walking sea wall many walking several abreast no attempt at distancing. Large no distanced crowd on second Ave bar district.
I could go on but whats the point.
What is wrong with you people !
Are you all angling for a Pandemic recurrence?
NJ has a low COVID rate currently lets keep it there.
Please face coverings distancing etc

I live on 9th Ave, so this beach is right down the street from me. We keep our beaches clean, and there are rest room facilities and trash receptacles available for use. If you don't like porta potties, there are restrooms on 7th Ave, within walking distance. The beach is beautiful, but because of the changes in beach access, very crowded, especially at high tide.
Many groups come with enormous tents that take up a lot of space, and they really don't care that they are depriving you of a place to sit. During the busy season, if you ain't down there by noon, forget it.
However, the beach itself is lovely.

If you like the boardwalk in Wildwood, continue onto North Wildwood, for more shops and entertainment. The tram car runs the entire Boardwalk. Was able to ride the tram all the way back to the convention center in Wildwood, where originally entered the boardwalk for a minimal fee.

I go to 15 th street every Saturday from when I was a kid till now. My favorite beach and street, but what on gods green earth r u doing with the beach. It looks horrible. The hill is so hard to get over the sand not pull down it’s so thick sand is cover half the handicap ramp. The fencing barely above the sand then when you get over the hill a steep drop. Only a little path to get down and it’s still steep. To the left 14th street side on down sheer drop you aren’t bringing any kind of wagon or cart you half to walk around. I only seen this during dredging but it’s fixed before beach season. It needs to be fixed immediately

my wife & i always enjoy going to north wildwood, relaxing under one of the pavilions, listening to the ocean & the smell of the sea. many of times we sat there relaxing & just fell asleep. it's just so peaceful there. we love the main boardwalk in wildwood. however, this is our peaceful, relaxing spot.

A nice, wide beach that gets crowded quickly, so get there early. Extra benefit to arriving and settling in early is getting to see dolphins in the surf. Feels very safe with the frequency of lifeguard stands. Port-o-johns are disgusting ~ be sure to go at your hotel or rental first!

Loved the North Shore Hotel In North Wildwood 💙. The Hotel was renovated. The pool and Fire pits were excellent. We took advantage of the free bicycles and they also, offered free beach chairs and umbrellas. The staff was friendly and always accommodating! We will return💙

The 2-mile Wide Beach has never looked more beautiful! A lot of effort has been put in by the city to keep the beaches free of excess trash or debris; in the 26 years I've been going here, it's never looked this wonderful! The dunes are back and the new walking paths made from recycled materials make it much easier to get from the Boardwalk and parking areas to the ocean.

This is a great beach along the Jersey Shore. It's very wide so its a bit of a walk from the bordwalk to the water, but that's okay because its means there's always plenty of room even if its crowded. The waves are fun and there were plenty of lifeguards along the beach. The beach is free and you if you are not staying in North Wildwood you can usually find free parking on the street about a block or two from the boardwalk.

There are places to rent chairs/umbrellas, guys passing buy selling ice cream, and planes flying over now and again with banner ads.

Overall a very nice, clean beach.

The Wildwood beach is very nice and relaxing. The sand is well maintained and the boardwalk is close with lots of food and activities. Also, there are pota-johns on the beach which makes going to the bathroom easy.
