Long walk - Dirty
Nov 2020
Its not LBI just say that as teh beaches are far and dirty compared to other shore points. Its more like mud at the water then a white beach.

Nice wide beach
Aug 2021
A nice, wide beach that gets crowded quickly, so get there early. Extra benefit to arriving and settling in early is getting to see dolphins in the surf. Feels very safe with the frequency of lifeguard stands. Port-o-johns are disgusting ~ be sure to go at your hotel or rental first!

North Shore Hotel. North Wildwood

Loved the North Shore Hotel In North Wildwood 💙. The Hotel was renovated. The pool and Fire pits were excellent. We took advantage of the free bicycles and they also, offered free beach chairs and umbrellas. The staff was friendly and always accommodating! We will return💙

Actually like this area so much I bought a condo a block and a half away. I've been going to the crest for about 17 years now with the family. We stayed right on the beach at the Regis Resort which I highly recommend if you don't have your own condo. I bought in North Wildwood because it was the best value for what you got. I bought in November of 2020 just before the prices went through the roof. We really like being at the very beginning of the boardwalk. The walk to the beach is way shorter and way easier than the crest. Now the beach is a lot smaller mind you and you're on top of each other on the 4th of July and Labor Day and just about any day in between. But a few perks compared to the crest there is a lifeguard and first aid station right there before you go over the Dune to the sand. Also plenty of porta potties on the beach and bathrooms at the station. There's also a large area to park low-speed electric vehicles which are legal only on the island. As this is my first year I'm not sure if you need a parking pass for it, but I'm going to look into it next year. 12 blocks Northeast is Old New Jersey Avenue which is completely shut off from traffic and you could walk in the middle of the street and frequent many bars and taverns and restaurants. Even across the street from where old New Jersey starts there's a few popular places that even do brunch. Biking from the start of the boardwalk to the end up in Wildwood Crest is a fun activity until noon everyday. But then when you come back to the beginning in North Wildwood you just keep going all the way down to the seawall and a couple of gazebos overlooking the water. Fun stuff. Now during the offseason which is the Monday after Labor Day to the Monday before Memorial Day you are allowed to drive on the North Wildwood beaches at certain areas with a special beach pass for $20. Entry is at 2nd, 8th, and 15th Avenues, but I've snuck out the 1st Ave opening as well. Great area, great beach

We have visited this beach for many years. I've been to many many beaches, but Wildwood sand is the softest and cleanest.

Clean and Family Friendly

The beach is a little bit long until you reach the ocean, but it is worth the hike. The area is very well maintained and clean.

My Neighborhood Beach
Jun 2020
I live on 9th Ave, so this beach is right down the street from me. We keep our beaches clean, and there are rest room facilities and trash receptacles available for use. If you don't like porta potties, there are restrooms on 7th Ave, within walking distance. The beach is beautiful, but because of the changes in beach access, very crowded, especially at high tide.
Many groups come with enormous tents that take up a lot of space, and they really don't care that they are depriving you of a place to sit. During the busy season, if you ain't down there by noon, forget it.
However, the beach itself is lovely.

Would Haave Given a 5, But COVID
Sep 2020 • Couples
We have summered here every summer for atmeaat the past 35 years, usually for at least two weeks a year. The beach is wide and beautiful, without a steep drop-off, and free! Great waves clean water. Westby on the inlet side and it is very quiet especially at night. Always a very pleasant experience. Due to the COVID Pandemic we only came down late in the season. We were appalled to see the lack of face coverage and physical distancing. The condo we rented is a multi unit structure with an elevator and small lobby. No one wearing masks or even making an attempt at distancing. Walking sea wall many walking several abreast no attempt at distancing. Large no distanced crowd on second Ave bar district.
I could go on but whats the point.
What is wrong with you people !
Are you all angling for a Pandemic recurrence?
NJ has a low COVID rate currently lets keep it there.
Please face coverings distancing etc
