Just in front of our hotel ,the park is small but relaxing, a carousel is in the middle of it,also a restaurant with small terrasse. Statues, and a small church at one end. Very clean.

Newark Military Park has been completely renovated. Veterans deserve better and here it shows how much we SHOULD appreciate them. Absolutely beautiful garden, monuments to Veterans from several time periods and just behind it is a small Biergarten where you can seat, reflect, praise and toast Veterans. Great Job Newark!!!!!!

This is a beautiful little park set right in the middle of downtown Newark. There is a very good restaurant, Burg here with outdoor seating. Alas, it is only open on weekdays. The park itself has many nice seating areas in beautifully landscaped gardens. They have a small carousel, charging stations, and a lot of special programing such as outdoor... More

Great little park downtown. It is bustling with activities, events and all sorts of people. Fun to play the games they provide, engage in classes and demonstrations, see movies and the restaurant is finally open

Recently renovated and much, much improved. Looks beautiful. New Prudential Tower adds to the scene. Lots of activities during day time. You will still see homeless people here and there but there is a lot of security.

I was here in March and they had an event going on a parade for St Patrick's Day with music and food vendors and other things to buy. What a nice day

The Park is being improved upon all the time. The spectacular statue in the park is surrounded by a floral sword. It is beautiful.

Having suffered a cancelled flight I had 8 hours to kill in Newark so caught the bus from EWR to Penn Station and had a walkabout. Penn Station is an 1930's Art Deco station but is in need of some TLC. Nevertheless less, worth a wander and imagine what it looked like in it's heyday. Walked up toward the downtown... More

Military Park has undergone a huge transformation. It has bistro chairs and tables to eat and chat. It offers different activities so make sure to look at the schedule from movie in the huge screen to concerts
