We had a fantastic trip to Holmes Creek. My husband myself and our three children ages 7,9,&11, all drove down for a day on the water. We took all of our own equipment to paddle and kayak. When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly eager to help staff. They pointed us in the direction of the off ramp and told us we were more than welcome to have our truck brought back with the trailer to their parking lot so when we got there by paddle board all we had to do was load up our things from the water and we're ready to play. My husband and children had an absolute blast on the rope swings and the slide. The other patrons were all very friendly and even spoke to the children. We were there on a Thursday so I can image we hit a quiet time so we only had to share their beautiful place with about 10 others. Great trip and it's a definite on our must do again trip.

Scheduled this as the beginning of our vacation. Our trip was after a few days of rain so the main Holmes Creek was maybe not as clear but nonetheless WOW. We had three paddle boards and a single kayak. Directions were spot on paddle with the flow look for marked trees keep right. Towards the end it begins to feel like you are lost just keep paddling! My teens (15) thought it was super cool apps did us adults. The spring is really cool but does get crowded. There are motor boats on the creek and at the spring so just stay aware. While we spent a good chunk of time at the spring our group enjoyed the paddling part the most. For long stretches it was just our family enjoying nature and each other. A memory maker for sure!

we had a wonderful visit to Holmes Creek. We rented one canoe and a double kayak for our children. We had a wonderful day. The staff was very kind and helpful. They drop you off upstream and your on your way. The staff told us to follow the flow of the water and stay to the right. They have trees marked so you know exactly how to get to the springs. You round a few corners and arrive at Cyprus Springs. It is breathtaking. The water is crystal clear. The spring is FREEZING but is wonderful for a hot summer day. There were several families and it was a perfect environment for people of all ages. It took us an hour and a half to get back to drop off the canoe/kayak. I do suggest wearing a life jacket (which they provide) while your kayaking on the creek. This place was great and I highly recommend it!

Can't express how much fun we had, from blue water springs to canoeing nature at it finest. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Very accommodating to our needs. Will definitely be coming back with friends.

We went down the river in a canoe, kayak, and on a paddle board. If you love paddle boarding it’s the perfect way to go down the river. If not, the next best way I loved was the canoe. There was a spring we visited and it was such an amazing spot. The water was so crystal clear and bright blue. The area was a fun place to hangout and enjoy a picnic. On our way back it started pouring and it was magical with the rain hitting the water and we were drenched! As we got back to Holmes Creek Livery our fun wasn’t over. The rope swing was a blast. Personally, I loved the slide. We enjoyed another hour of fun. After the rain stopped this fog came over the river and it felt like we were somewhere magical. Perfect way to end the day! We all had a great time and next time we go we will be using this company again!

This was a very unique experience. The river itself is extremely peaceful (at least when I was out of earshot of my 3 bigger kids-9, 11, and 13 yr-canoe. Ha!) it took them the entire way upstream to the springs (half mile), and a bit coming down before the found their canoe cadence. To be honest there were not a lot of friendly words flying around- but they got it!! The springs themselves are AMAZING. It is so bizarre to find water that blue in a river. It is a bit cold, but very exhilarating!! If you are brave you can swing into the springs from a rope. My 5 yr old even did it, but mostly loved swimming around the more shallow areas. Pack a lunch!! Everyone is snacking at the springs. And make sure you have lots of water. On a hot day you would really need it. My 2 yr old had fun too, mostly putting his feet in the water and playing by the canoe. He even enjoyed a canoe nap on the way back. At the end there's a place to change and bathrooms (where you park).
