Historic Place, Quiet Respite
Apr 2019 • Solo
Dating from 1742, this Christ Episcopal Church provides both a sense of history and a place for a contemplative moment away from the noise of the city.

A walk through the small historic graveyard (see photo) is interesting and instructive. A new sign explains the impressive history of the Church and its grounds (photo). For example, I learned that the third reading of the Declaration of Independence took place there.

There is also an entrance to the grounds on Albany Street. And a public parking garage just up Albany Street.

Pure History
Jun 2018 • Couples
My wife and recenly ate at Steakhouse 85. This little church was directly across the street. We strolled through the small grounds which had burial sites, a small cemetery, with aged and worn head stones, some from the 1700's. Walking through you could almost feel the history.

Nice, historic Church
Mar 2016 • Solo
My husband needed to find an Episcopalian Church and came across this nice historic looking church. He finds the congregation to be nice, warm, and welcoming.

Lovely antique church with fabulous pipe organ
Aug 2015
A lovely antique church with historic tower, interesting cemetery, excellent tracker pipe organ (Richard Fowkes, Opus 12, one of the best on the East coast), and good acoustics (they sometimes have concerts), whose garden (open to the public) is a pleasant oasis in the city of New Brunswick.

One of Pillars of New Brunswick
Jan 2014 • Family
Just a short walk and right across the street from the First Reform Church, one of the other pillars of this community. This is an active church so show respect. It looks like there is a need for a little tending to. At the same time, the focus is on the work of the church and not its appearance.
