About
Lake Hopatcong Cruises has one boat in the fleet - the beautiful Miss Lotta. Miss Lotta was brought to Lake Hopatcong and was completely refurbished during the winter of 2013-14. Thoughtful renovation brought Miss Lotta a much needed facelift in addition to state of the art improvements such as HD TVs in the main cabin, a sound system, stabilizing units, air conditioning, refurbished heads and a covered upper deck. Miss Lotta has a regular schedule of cruises throughout out the season. Cruise options range from yoga, brunch, dinner, cocktail, historical and a variety of seasonal cruises and special events such as Football cruises, Octoberfest and July 4th to name a few. Miss Lotta is also available for private events for groups not exceeding 40 people. Miss Lotta offers buffet-style food and a full bar to customers. Our staff is professionally trained and attentive.

This was great! We had no idea there was a boat that took groups out on Lake hopatcong, very relaxing and nice way to spend an afternoon. We picked the 21 plus appetizer cruise and the apps were great, it was guacamole and tortilla chips, bruschetta and crostini, pretzel bites, and very fancy little finger sandwiches with cheese apples and almonds. The drinks were very reasonably priced, $11 each for a mimosa and a sangria. You can sit downstairs or upstairs, the servers bring you all the food and beverages. We will definitely ride on this boat again in the future!

Lake Hopatcong Cruises provided us with a wonderful wedding day.
As past “cruisers” on many of their cruise offerings in the past, we turned to them to what we thought would be the ideal venue for our immediate family, including grandchildren, in pandemic times. Our expectations were exceeded.
The planning provided by Amber Pregno (General Manager/Planner) and Captain Lee Moreau III (Officiator and Co-Captain) was simple and friendly with both providing just the right amount of assistance right up to our day.
The dockside wedding and Miss Lotta cruise went perfectly, thoroughly enjoyed by the entire family and close friends, none of which had experienced LHC prior.
The efforts of all involved including Amber, Captain Lee, Captain Tom Bush, and the onboard and dockside staff were outstanding.
The venue’s dinner from The Windlass was excellent, as always, and enjoyed by all.
Our perfect day culminated in returning dockside to a beautiful sunset.
We highly recommend using LHC for their event offerings and particularly any special occasions.

The crew & staff were great! Loved that you could order drinks & snacks. We sat on the upper deck, with tables & chairs. It was very easy to hear Marty explain the history of Lake Hopatcong! We loved it!

Can’t really leave a review as we didn’t go on the cruise. We booked for 4 adults for a brunch but the weather called for rain and thunderstorms from after midnight all thru the trip date’s late evening. There was also a flash flood warning for the area and NJ declared a state of emergency later that day. Very disappointed that the cruise was not cancelled. I’m aware of the rain or shine policy but all day rain and thunderstorms and especially the risk of lightning on the water should have at least offered a portion of the money we spent back. I don’t think being crammed inside with ALL of the booked guests would have been enjoyable. Our kids live on the lake but I don’t think we’ll be booking another cruise because it was too much money spent for what would have been a miserable experience. Getting the ‘give us a review!” Email was just salt on the wound.

My wife and I experienced a pleasant two-hour cruise around the lake, with decent but not particularly tasty food. What puzzled us was that, while we understood that this is not advertised as a historical cruise, you're taken on a beautiful, interesting lake with hundreds of homes by the water, some of which are spectacular, yet there was ZERO information provided on our surroundings. Not even a brochure we could read through. Instead, the cruise clearly is designed to encourage you to drink as much as possible and run up a large bar tab.

Hello Jeff, I am happy to go over this again with you here in hopes that others understand the differences in our cruises as well.
Our Brunch Cruises are not advertised as narrated cruises. Here is what it states on our website;
"Weekends on the lake are reserved for relaxation and fun. Come enjoy a Brunch Cruise aboard our vessel – and you’ll never look at a land-locked brunch the same! Enjoy our bountiful brunch buffet of classic breakfast favorites as well as chef-selected specialties!
What's Included
2-hour cruise around Lake Hopatcong
Full brunch fare served buffet style
All meals prepared by one of our sister properties, Alice’s Restaurant or The Windlass
Full-Service Cash Bar"
We do offer several other cruises that are narrated. Our Historical Cruise with Marty Kane is spectacular and loaded with an incredible amount of information. We also offer A Blast From the Past Hotel Tour Cruise and a Fantastic Homes Cruise, which both provide a wealth of information for those that are seeking more knowledge about our beautiful lake and all that it has to offer.
Here is the description of our Blast From the Past Hotel Tour directly from our site;
"A Blast From the Past Hotel Tour Cruise
Use your imagination to experience the lake circa 1920's, 1930's, and 1940's. Taste the food that the hotels had to offer and listen to the music that the amusement parks played on the weekends. Narration by Lake Hopatcong's very own historian, Marty Kane."
This one clearly states there is narration as do the others I listed for you.
Our Brunch Cruises are enjoyed by many weekly. This cruise allows friends, family, and colleagues the opportunity to relax and enjoy one another's company with Lake Hopatcong as the breath taking backdrop. None of our cruises are designed to encourage anyone to drink as much as possible and run a large bar bill. Our goal is for all of our guest to enjoy their experience on Miss Lotta.
Our goal is always help our guests have the very best experience possible on the cruise that they chose.
In the future we hope you are now able to choose the exact type of cruise you are looking for.
We look forward to seeing you in the future.

We had a company event with Lake Hopatcong Cruises this past Friday evening. The event was WONDERFUL!! The staff who helped me plan the event along with the menu was always responsive and friendly and the staff on the boat were all very friendly. Food and drink were delicious too!! Can't wait to go back with my family.

Our first visit to Lake Hopatcong and the dinner cruise on the Miss Lotta was the best part of the day! The food was delicious, the topside seating/dining delightful, the music excellent, the staff friendly and attentive, the commentary and narration very special... Captain Lee and the entire crew were great hosts... and they capped it off with the most stunning sunset! Being up and on the road since 4 am that day traveling to this destination, having this relaxing tour of the lake by water was well appreciated by us and a great conclusion to a beautiful day. Thank you!!! Ialeen and Mark Dunn

The ambience was amazing. My daughter and I enjoyed the Labor Day Happy Hour cruise. The weather was perfect, the lake and surruonding homes were breathtaking, and the atmosphere was relaxing. My cruise was only for 90 minutes but I definitely could have stayed longer. I recommend this activity for families and for a solo just need to get away by yourself trip.

Very COVID friendly and an overall great experience. The captains were both very informative during the tour around the lake and the rest of the staff was extremely friendly. Food was amazing, we were served salad, a large main course, and dessert. Would definitely go again, they have many different cruises throughout the year

Had a private dinner cruise with Lake Hopatcong Cruises to culminate my husband's military retirement festivities. It was the most amazing evening! Great food, spirits and good times! One of our family members was held up on the freeway from an accident and didn't make the cruise departure. He arrived 1 hour into our 3 hour cruise and Captain Lee said he would circle around and pick him up! So nice to have a crew who was flexible and accommodating, it really meant so much to all of us. And the professionalism of the crew couldn't be beat. Kim was great to work with leading up to the cruise date, the food was wonderful and the bar was very well stocked! We truly couldn't have asked for anything more. Wonderful memories for all of us.

Where are there 12.00 cruises? I only see specialty ones with food which are 40 or 50 per person? Are these kid friendly (age 2)?
Written June 29, 2016
I wouldn't bring a 2 yr old. first why pay for something no 2 yr old can appreciate, and do the fellow passengers a favor so they don't have to hear the crying and running around. wait till they are 6 or 7.
