There are different options for jet skis and although this was more expensive than the others I would definitely recommend this site again. The employees and the owner Adam are so professional and welcoming. Mike and Bryant were super awesome!! They both made the tour fun and a wonderful experience. It was a great birthday weekend event!!!

Just had the most amazing and magical sunset hot tub boat with @seathecity on the Hudson. I have worked for Disneyland for 34 years so I have a high standard for “magical”. This exceeded magical and I cried a few times looking at the sunset over the city and Lady Liberty. I highly recommend this tour at 4:00 to see the sunset blend into night. Just....pure magic.

Hi Raeleen!
It means so much that you took the time to share the enjoyable experience you had on our new Hot Tub Boat. I am so happy you had a great time and, coming from someone who has had a career in the "entertainment" industry, I really appreciated the comparison you made between our Hot Tub Boat tour in the New York Harbor and around the Statue of Liberty to the magical experience of being at Disneyland. Your high recommendation and support mean a lot. Thank you for your kind words.

Had a great time with Sea the City. We did the one hour tour, which was the perfect amount of time. Everything from booking to arrival was super easy, and all of the staff we interacted with were incredible. The tour itself was a blast, our guides were Bryant and Brie and they were friendly and professional and you could tell they love their jobs.
As a couple we rode a tandem jet ski and both had a great time. The views of manhattan were incredible and it was cool to see things like the Brooklyn Bridge from a different view than we’d ever seen before. I will say if you don’t like going fast this might not be the tour for you.
Getting there from Manhattan was easy via Uber and would’ve been even easier (and more affordable) via the liberty landing ferry, but they’re closed on weekends right now so check the schedule first.
We live in the city and are so glad we did this! Something we’ll recommend to our friends and eventually visitors when they’re allowed back.

We booked for October so always thought there could be a possibility the weather would prevent us from doing the jet ski tour, and sadly it did due to poor visibility. I can’t comment on the quality of the tour which I’m sure would have been great, but what I do want to comment on is how we were treated by the owner of the company.
We set out in the morning and before boarding the ferry over to Liberty Landing Marina we tried to call the office to check whether the tour was still running because it was raining and the clouds were low. We hadn’t received any notification that the tour was off (which per the booking they aim to give at least 3 hours notice of any cancellation). We couldn’t speak to anyone as the phone wasn’t being answered. We used the ‘call back’ facility on the website and in the message box asked if the tour was on. We got a text message back to say that our tour was on and to check in at 10:15 as expected. So we proceeded to board the ferry, paying $19 for the three of us.
We arrived on time and no one was there to check us in. Eventually someone arrived and told us pretty much straight away that it was unlikely the tour would go ahead due to poor visibility and safety, but she would go out briefly on the jet ski to check. She looked surprised to see us there. We accepted it was cancelled - naturally we were disappointed but completely understood the reasons why.
What we didn’t accept was being told on a message just half an hour prior (when the weather conditions were exactly the same and had been all morning) to make our way to the marina and incur cost doing so, plus a wasted morning on what was our last day in NYC. We therefore thought it reasonable in the very least to be reimbursed for the cost of our return ferry ($38) having been incorrectly told to make our way there.
We were told outright that this wasn’t an option and we would only be refunded for the tour cost. When we asked to speak to the boss of Sea the City we were told we couldn’t, however eventually my husband was able to get his number and call him. He wouldn’t budge and was quite rude to be honest. We would totally understand being out of pocket if we’d travelled against their advice but WE WERE TOLD TO COME!! And paid $38 for the privilege.
$38 might not seem a lot of money, but we worked hard to pay for this trip and don’t appreciate losing money because of their incompetence. We won’t be using them again on a point of principle.

It was a stunning experience. I am a loyal follower of molaviajar and when I saw this Attraction I did not hesitate to realize it. It was very easy to book online and pay for the moment. They have a lot of contemplation in case they need to change the date. In my case I had scheduled for a rainy Wednesday with 9° so I requested to change it to Saturday where we had a spectacular 30° sunny day. In case of force majeure you cannot perform the activity you are refunded the money.
Now if we go to the experience on time. We booked tour 1h for 2. We set off from the dock in new jersey. Guide the hudson, manhattan bridge, brooklyn and statue of liberty. There is a second guide who controls traffic from the other boats and helps to control that there are no accidents.
One can accelerate whatever one wants and the reality that we have been able to go very quickly without problem. There's room to do it carefully. At the end of the tour we were allowed to dip into the water which I believe was the golden clasp to finish and cool off in the hudson in front of the statue of freedom.
In my case it is the third time I visited ny and looked for alternative plans to make. I enjoyed it a lot and going back time I would from the first trip. It's worth every penny. One spends a lot on hotels, tours, tickets to the
Lookouts... give yourself a chance to enjoy this Attraction. They won't regret it.
Thank you very much to Nicole who was our Guide and Photo Manager.

SAFETY IS BIG PROBLEM. I am an NYC resident who paddles in the Hudson and Harlem Rivers. Packs of jet skiers traveling at 65 mph as advertised on the website is endangering public health and safety on the waterways of NY/NJ especially in the narrows of the Spuyten Duyvil canal and Harlem River---where you are only supposed to go 5mph and with no wake. We just witnessed a jet ski collision yesterday with a group from this outfit who were not going to stop to help the jetskier that they collided, who was floating down the river in the water, screaming for help because his arm was broken. I tried to reach this company and they have not returned my message. These companies need to do their part to make sure the river is safe from those they rent to.

Hello,
Our Company was first on scene to assist the gentlemen who was injured. Our guides stayed with him until NYPD rescue divers arrived. However, we did not witness nor were we involved in any way in the accident that caused his injuries. Our guides acted with great professionalism to communicate with authorities and assist in his rescue. No jet ski tour/rental company was involved in this accident. It is true that many private jet skiers traverse the Harlem River at unreasonable speed. We are very respectful of human powered craft in the Harlem and other areas. Nobody is helped by making false allegations. I am always available to talk to members of the boating community at 917-574-9032.

Tour was good. Pictures were rushed. If there are too many people in the group- then lower the max so you can have more time to take pictures that people pay for. In addition, you don’t need everyone to pay for the photo package in the group. They don’t organize the photos at all- they send you a link to your email with photos of ALL THE PEOPLE FOR THE ENTIRE DAY. Why would I want other people’s photos and why are other people receiving photos of me? Not appropriate. All of my friends got the photos. One of us could have paid and got the photos and shared. So dumb. You have to go through hundreds of photos just to find yours. The tour itself was fine and safe. If your going with multiple people. You all shouldn’t buy the photo package. They do no extra work to make it “individualized” for you who separately purchased the photo package. Other than that, the tour guide was ok. It was the experience and sights that your paying for. Enjoy.

We had an amazing time, the views were incredible and the crew was so helpful and friendly. We went for a Bachelorette and they had an awesome surprise sign that made our pictures spectacular. We truly loved our experience and would definitely recommend booking for a special event or even just for the experience. Would definitely enjoy going back during sunset or for a night cruise to take in the views!

This is probably one of the coolest ways to see the city in such a non tourist way. As a native New Yorker, I am always wary of experiences such as these, but I was blown away by this jet ski tour. This was probably one of the coolest things I have ever gotten to do. Getting to see the Statue of Liberty from being in the water was such a surreal experience. The views are gorgeous, and is a super fun activity for basically anyone. I always felt safe on the water (in part due to the amazing staff), but also felt like I had thee opportunity to be adventurous and fly through the water - a perfect mix. When I ran into a scheduling issue, the staff was so amazing and so accommodating, and it truly made my whole experience better. Just remember to wear sunscreen if it is a very sunny day!

We did this with 11 of our family members and had so much fun! All four of the guides were awesome, and made sure all of us were comfortable and safe on the jet skis, but also let the ones that wanted to go fast do so in areas where it was safe. It’s clear they prioritize safety AND fun! It was such a great experience with our family, and they went out of their way to make sure we had fun.

I want to get a gift certificate for my husband for his birthday am not sure if i should do the two or one hour, which do you recommend
Written December 20, 2018
I booked one hour because two hours per person was expensive but I was converting USD into CAD. However, I would decide based on your husbands comfort level on a seadoo in a place with lots of boat traffic. Not based on 2 hours being better than 1. If he is someone who is a beginner maybe the one hour is enough therefore more enjoyable. If he is a pro than 2 hours. It's a lot of fun but my husband thought one hour was enough. Have fun.

They don't allow you to take a camera or phone with you, they do take a lot of pictures and email them to you after the tour. I think we ended up with 70 or more pictures that they took of us.

As a guide of Sea the City, would you recommend an early morning tour or an evening tour? I like the idea that the water will be calm in the morning, but the evening tour sounds more beautiful. What do you recommend for best overall experience? (we are experienced drivers, just dont want to be maneuvering around ferries and other boats more than we have to.) Thank you!!

Hello,
The boat traffic is less on the first and last tours of the day. Our guides maneuver you around vessel traffic, but it's NY Habor so it will always be busy and somewhat wavey. Morning is typically a bit calmer. Pick the time that works best for you. You will have a blast either way.
