It is a old cemetery in the middle of the block. Dates go back to 1800. A history buff will love it.

A must visit for history lovers. Ideal to visit on Saturdays because volunteers work at Saturday for free, and can guide you to increase your knowledge and refreshes the memories of book. Overwhelming feelings to see war hero's here

Just reading the head stones gives you a big history of whom is buried there. 1800 till present. War hero's. Headstones that date way back to 1810

Saturdays are great for visiting the Historic Jersey City & Harsimus Cemetery. Volunteers work every Sat from 9 am til 1 pm, and tours of the grounds, including the underground bunker from the War of 1812, are offered to visitors. Or you can join in...More
