It's been many years since we've been to Holmdel Park but on this gorgeous late October Saturday morning we decided to grab our water bottles, a few snacks (for us and the dog) and head to the park. We quickly parked the car and grabbed our lawn chairs and the backpack and of course our dog Mitzy. We camped out for an hour within 100 yards of the car. Such a beautiful day in such a beautiful park. My wife started reading her book so I took Mitzy for a walk. So many people just enjoying being outdoors on this incredible October day. About 30 minutes later we were back with my wife. We sat another half hour or so while having a few snacks. A bit later we decided to go. We were there for not quite 2 hours but really enjoyed our stay. We decided to make SURE we visited Holmdel Park a LOT more often. We may even try a few of the trails on our next visit.

We visited here on a unusual cool summer day. Brought our bikes to ride but quickly realized you can't just ride your bike anywhere. The park guards were doing some maintenance and quickly advised us that the only trails for bikes were the on the other side of the road. Regardless, we enjoyed the beautiful park. We were on both playgrounds with our 8 and 6 YO, walked down to and around the pond and crossed to the Longstreet Farm which was so cute and informative!! Loved the restored home and the carriage barn. Kids loved petting the sheep and cows.
Pack a picnic basket, grab a blanket and enjoy the green open spaces! LOVE IT!

There are many different recreational areas at Holmdel park. It has two playgrounds, picnic facilities, tennis courts, and hiking trails. There are also large lawns to play games, sun bathe, and relax. Across the parking lot is the free Longstreet Farm. It has animals,a barn, and guides/enactors in period dress that explain everything and give demos.

Been taking my kids to this beautiful park for twenty years. When little we played in playground, went to farm to see the animals and fished. Now grown they still enjoy fishing, hiking, tennis and jogging the tracks.

A great park for family fun. There are trails for walking and running, playgrounds, a lake, and even a farm (Longstreet farm.) If you drive to the top of the hill, there are picnic tables and grills, a big field for ball playing and a huge jungle gym for the younger kids.

I have been going here for years. I love the farm (it's a working farm, not a petting zoo), especially when they have programs going on. There are many hiking/walking trails to choose from, including a fitness trail. There are two playgrounds and lotso fplaces to have a picnic. In the winter, we going sledding then spend some time warming up by the fire in the shelter building.

Wonderful soft opening of The Polo Club! Every dish was treated excellently and presented with expert care! I highly recommend that you try this reincarnation of the Remington Cafe on Rt.34!!

This is a fun little park to walk through, and there are some good trails with fun exercise points along the way. And if your watchful you might see some deer
