Compared to tours I have taken in NYC, this was so not good. Our tour guide could care less. He explained next to nothing: no history other than a one line statement. Cleanliness was out the window, he wore a dirty tee shirt, used a cutting board straight out of his back back, not clean, that that he cut cheese... More

We were a group of 8 and all were disappointed especially in our guide. We had Avi and he had no personality whatsoever. He would walk ahead, we would catch up, he would spew out a couple of facts about the stop and would unenthusiastically move us along to the next stop. Don't understand why we stopped at 2 mozzarella... More

Went with our friends and their teens on this charming, fast-paced tour of Frank Sinatra's hometown. Started with a Cake Boss cannoli (always a good start) and tried delicious pizza in Grimaldi's (though more of a sliver than slice), wonderful fresh mozzarella, great coffee at Empire, and the highlight was a stop at Lisa's Italian Deli where we met Tony.... Unimpressed, could have mentioned there would be no place to sit. No need for two places with mozerralla. Lisa's was excellent.

We had a very nice time. Pat told us a lot of stories and history. There was plenty of food to eat. The stop at Lisa's Italian Deli - sandwiches and mozzarella Delicious. He was a very good host. The owner of Garibaldi's was very nice and the pizza very good. It was a beautiful, fun day. We didn't get... More

A stop at Lisa's was the best part of the tour. I think the tour could use at least one more stop since the chocolate stop was not very cooperative.

Tour was very nice, merchants that we met were very engaging & knowledgeable about the area. Just hope u don't get Avi as a guide. He checked out before he showed up. Walked like he was in a marathon he had to keep stopping for people to catch up.

Besides just being full of yummy food, our tour guide was very personable, relatable, fun and quite knowledgeable about the history and culture of Hoboken. The random fun facts and trivia questions truly added to the tour as did many surprise stops along our way. My favorite part of the tour was definitely Tony the Mozzarella Boss at Lisa's Deli.... The leader lack enthusiasm and said little but walked a lot faster than the group. WE Walked mostly from 2:00 to 6:00 with little sitting. The 1st half of the trip he pointed out factories and schools that are now condos. We were hungry and was told-we got chips. Then we sat down for pizza and received a sliver, Some... More

While the tour guide was very nice, we were expecting more food and less history. We walked about 4 miles, and got a lot of random history. Thought the food portions could have been a little bigger, and one of the stops wasn't open when we got there. Lisa's Deli was definitely the best stop on the tour, they gave... More
