Granted, Hoboken NJ is not Disneyland or New York, but it is filled with interesting history and cultural artifacts that have survived The Great Depression, Hurricane Sandy, and a yuppie invasion. Avi was very knowledgeable as a guide, having a background in the restaurant/food industry, and made the tour quite interesting. My only suggestion was that the food consumption should... More

went into this tour with no other expectations other than a day with friends strolling thru Hoboken. Ended up being so much more than that....really got a feel for the city itself and all its history and culture, so authentic and rich in its Italian culture, yet urban and modern mixed in. Our favorite stop was Lisa Deli where we... More

I highly recommend this food tour. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, fun and brought us to the best places. It was a full day with lots of walking, good food and drinks!

Although our family took this food/walking tour in January - it was fantastic. Avi, our guide was very informative. He took us to some wonderful places to taste the foods of Hoboken. Everything was delicious. We particularly like Lisa's Deli. The owner, Tony was a delight. He told us all about his family journey to Hoboken and showed us how... More

The word that keeps coming to mind is 'atrocious', the next would be 'rip off'. I've seen some positive reviews and have understood there's another tour guide too - potentially that would have been better. I can't say that we saw anything cultural (despite the stereotypes, and what this tour will make you feel, the US does have culture!). Having... More

Would have liked more time and a little slower pace. But I do know that the length of time was go I enjoyed it so much I could have gone on for a few more hours.

My first impression was when our tour guide approached us with a stained up sweatshirt. He first leads us to a back alley of Carlo's bakery and pull out of his backpack a box of cannoli from Carlo's bakery and hands everyone, one and that is the extent of Carlo's bakery (tour). We proceed to walk to our next stop... More

We had a wonderful time with our guide, a native of Hoboken, whose family had a long history there. In the group was a couple who'd grown up in Hoboken so it was a combination of learning about the new and old from these wonderful people whose perspectives ranged over many years. The food was terrific, the group fun to... More

My husband and I took his parents and our two teenage daughters on this walking food tour. His parents grew up in Hoboken and hadn't been back to visit in many years. We had always heard what a special place Hoboken was, and how great the food is! Wow, this tour was great for anyone who likes to eat, enjoys... More

Compared to tours I have taken in NYC, this was so not good. Our tour guide could care less. He explained next to nothing: no history other than a one line statement. Cleanliness was out the window, he wore a dirty tee shirt, used a cutting board straight out of his back back, not clean, that that he cut cheese... More
