I went to Sharrott Winery on a Sunday morning at 11am to just try a sample of wine. I did not have a reservation, and the hostesses spent a ridiculous amount of time lecturing me about making a reservation, even though I was easily able to be sat at the bar. I could underhand the lecture if it wasn’t so easy to be sat. The staff at the bar was helpful, and the wine was nice (I got a flight of the whites). After finishing the flight, and paying, I wanted to walk to see the grounds (isn’t that most people do at a winery?!?) I didn’t even get past the restrooms when one of the hostesses, one who had lectured me earlier, chased me down and asked what I was doing, that I couldn’t take a table I didn’t have a reservation for. When I explained that I just wanted to see the grounds, I already finished, she again told me that I couldn’t take a table I didn’t have a reservation for. I don’t care how lovely a wine is, there is no reason to treat customers like that. There are plenty of other professional wineries in the vicinity that you could spend your money at, do yourself a favor and skip this one.

Beautiful location for lunch. Menu offered great selection that complemented the wines nicely. Live music was not overpowering and provided a nice background. Constructing your own wine flight is a great way to sample anything that looks tempting. (All my wines in the 2 flights I ordered were great) The limoncello dessert is a *must*! Server was knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely go again. Reservations a must.

Myself and five friends went to our wineries while in NJ. This was a real winner! The place is gorgeous with exposed beams, shiny counters, gorgeous floor to ceiling windows and a deck that flows easily. There was live music, many wines available, and excellent, attentive service. We each had two tastings and shared some food for the table. I purchased wine to take home, and would happily return any time.

Three of us had lunch here, and two had wine tastings. A tasting combined with a flatbread cost only a few dollars more than either would separately, so it was a very good deal. The wines were good (I got tastes of one of the flights, and my Summer Sangria was delicious) as was the food, particularly the crab cakes.

Service was excellent throughout out leisurely meal, and the setting was bucolic. The building was elegant in a rustic way, and the grounds were gorgeous. It was as reminiscent of the Napa Valley as one can find in New Jersey. I recommend Sharrott Winery highly you're looking for a pleasant, perhaps even memorable, afternoon "tra vigne."

We were here on Friday. Just walked in with our son and daughter-in-law. Lovely day. Food decent. Wine good. Came back on Saturday with our daughter, her girlfriend, and friends who came quite a bit later. Did not have a reservation. We were not told by the hostess or the waitress that our table was only available for 2 hours. I get the 2 hour limit. But TELL US THAT. We did not know. Friends who came a bit later were there about 30 minutes when we were informed that our reservation would be over in 30 minutes. Again, if we knew that in advance, it would have been fine. If we had made reservations online, we may have already known that. Do your homework, because the hostess and waitress are clearly not capable of sharing this information.

Just visited this winery. Very disappointed with service and attention to details. We arrived with a reservation and were seated immediately, ordered our wine flights and food. We got food very timely and asked to move to one of the many open tables in the sun since it was chilly and we were seated in total shade, we were told nothing was available. Shortly after that, another party arrived and was seated next to us. This party then moved themselves to a sunny location and were allowed to stay and we were again told nothing else was available for us to move. We still had not received our wine flights 45 minutes after arriving. We advised the waiter that if we got our wine within 5 minutes we would stay but if not she should cancel our order. We got our wine within minutes and finished the wine flight. Wine and food were both great and the live music was excellent! Service needs improvement!!

I loved this tasting room and their food is great for a winery. My family and I have spent many hours enjoying wine and laughs here. We dont go out much right now (covid) but when we do, we try to spread the love to our favorite small family owned places. Sharrott seemed perfect due to their setup.

We went during a thursday night. It was relatively empty but not closing time. We had a good waiter who was helpful but may have been relieved of her duties, as we were one of the last tables. Elaine brought over our check and was extremely rude, as if we were holding her up. We wont come back due to the way she made us feel.

We stopped here after a recommendation from a friend who enjoys being here. I was a bit hesitant because our friend brought us back a bottle that wasn't my style, but I was glad we went. Great ambiance and we had the tasting bar to ourselves. The guy who did our tastings was knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed many of the wines and bought several to take home. It was nice to just relax and enjoy wine overlooking the vineyard. Well definitely be back! Thanks!

Came here for a bridal shower. First time here. Super cute winery. The building looks small from outside but is pretty decent inside! Wonderful staff. We had a table reserved before hand. The food is REALLY good and high end for winery food. Was top notch restaurant quality. Of course their wine is also really good. Their was live music going on. It was very busy the weekend we came and even with the crowd, the food wait wasnt bad at all. Clean bathrooms.

My husband and I decided to spend the day wine tasting at a number of the wineries in the area. We came here and were looking forward to it but were immediately disappointed when we came in for the wine tasting only to discover that they were out of both their cabernet sauvignon as well as their merlot!

We are both dry red wine drinkers and were told to come here for their reds so how does a winery have a wine tasting without the two most popular red wines??
We had a better experience at the other wineries we visited. This place should not be rated this high
