We are regulars @ Sharrott, are wine club members, and will continue. We love the relaxing atmosphere, the attentive and pleasant staff, and have gotten to know them over the years making them family!
As regulars in Napa & the Lake Seneca region, I must say the food is fantastic with diverse choices and a changing menu with the seasons.
Currently, the Asian Crab Cake and the Beef Medallions over Risotto are excellent choices. Add the fact that you get wine at the retail price without the typical restaurant markup, live music and you have an inexpensive date night that is tasteful and entertaining.
Cannot wait to try the fire pit in a couple weeks

Beautiful location for lunch. Menu offered great selection that complemented the wines nicely. Live music was not overpowering and provided a nice background. Constructing your own wine flight is a great way to sample anything that looks tempting. (All my wines in the 2 flights I ordered were great) The limoncello dessert is a *must*! Server was knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely go again. Reservations a must.

Myself and five friends went to our wineries while in NJ. This was a real winner! The place is gorgeous with exposed beams, shiny counters, gorgeous floor to ceiling windows and a deck that flows easily. There was live music, many wines available, and excellent, attentive service. We each had two tastings and shared some food for the table. I purchased wine to take home, and would happily return any time.

Long time fans of Sharrot but this was our first time at brunch. It was amazing. They have a great mimosa flight as well as their usual selections. The food was tasty. Chicken and waffles will hopefully become a regular on their menu. The atmosphere and views of the snow covered vinyard just made for a great experience. We will be bringing our friends back with us.

A friend and I came here for a wine tasting and dinner. The wines were fantastic and the dinner was good. I really loved the space though, and the staff. Lovely place. I also like that they have a special deal where you pay for a tasting and dinner for one lump sum.

Just visited this winery. Very disappointed with service and attention to details. We arrived with a reservation and were seated immediately, ordered our wine flights and food. We got food very timely and asked to move to one of the many open tables in the sun since it was chilly and we were seated in total shade, we were told nothing was available. Shortly after that, another party arrived and was seated next to us. This party then moved themselves to a sunny location and were allowed to stay and we were again told nothing else was available for us to move. We still had not received our wine flights 45 minutes after arriving. We advised the waiter that if we got our wine within 5 minutes we would stay but if not she should cancel our order. We got our wine within minutes and finished the wine flight. Wine and food were both great and the live music was excellent! Service needs improvement!!

I loved this tasting room and their food is great for a winery. My family and I have spent many hours enjoying wine and laughs here. We dont go out much right now (covid) but when we do, we try to spread the love to our favorite small family owned places. Sharrott seemed perfect due to their setup.

We went during a thursday night. It was relatively empty but not closing time. We had a good waiter who was helpful but may have been relieved of her duties, as we were one of the last tables. Elaine brought over our check and was extremely rude, as if we were holding her up. We wont come back due to the way she made us feel.

We stopped here after a recommendation from a friend who enjoys being here. I was a bit hesitant because our friend brought us back a bottle that wasn't my style, but I was glad we went. Great ambiance and we had the tasting bar to ourselves. The guy who did our tastings was knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed many of the wines and bought several to take home. It was nice to just relax and enjoy wine overlooking the vineyard. Well definitely be back! Thanks!

My husband and I decided to spend the day wine tasting at a number of the wineries in the area. We came here and were looking forward to it but were immediately disappointed when we came in for the wine tasting only to discover that they were out of both their cabernet sauvignon as well as their merlot!

We are both dry red wine drinkers and were told to come here for their reds so how does a winery have a wine tasting without the two most popular red wines??
We had a better experience at the other wineries we visited. This place should not be rated this high

I know lots of people love this place, but I have very mixed feelings.

I had stopped here a few times, a couple of years back, to pick up a bottle wine from the tiny tasting room. I thought the wine was okay/average, but the service (at the time) very unfriendly, so I didn't go back for some while.

A friend invited me to got for wine and lunch on a recent Saturday and I was curious to see the new addition and try the place again, so I went.

My views are as follows:

The new tasting room is HUGE and very attractive - it's a mix of barn style with some trendy industrial design features, large windows overlooking the vineyard and a large covered patio in the back. In summer I assume the huge overhead glass doors that line the back wall are opened. The is a wine shop area, tasting bar, main bar and large seating area with table service. (This must have cost them a small fortune to build.)

It was busy and lively, not too noisy and had a good atmosphere the afternoon were there.

Our server was very nice and friendly, but had no knowledge of the wines at all - aside to warn us that buying by the glass overpriced and we would be better off with a bottle if we both wanted the same wine.

I thought the flight of wines offered - three 2 oz pours- was grossly overpriced compared to other vineyards and wine bars I have been to. Tasting prices and by the glass are a bit high; bottle prices are more reasonable.

The food menu is not very large, but is supplemented by 4 or 5 daily specials (at least on the weekend). The food items ranged from mediocre to very good but portions sizes were very small for the price.

For the cost of 2 flights (one for each of us), one bottle of wine, a very small cheese platter, 2 small plate specials and a soft pretzel, we could have both had a substantial meal with wine in a nice cafe or restaurant in Philadelphia. (Bill with tip and tax was $140).

So I guess I would say the place is a bit overrated.
My recommendation would be stop for a glass of wine and maybe a small snack, or share a bottle of wine, if you are in the area, but don't go for a "meal" or to spend the whole afternoon.
