I am not an art person, but thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Sculpture Garden. There are large abstract pieces throughout but the large life like statues set up in everyday scenes were my favorite. I was so amazed how a simple picnic or a farmer leaning on a fence became works of art that just impressed me. It was a lovely place to walk around and admire the creativity of the artistic minds.

I'm not sure if this is a hidden gem. I've lived in NYC for over twenty years and never knew it existed. But, wow, what an amazing place. Took my family here which included two young children and grandparents. Everyone had a great time. There was enough variation in sculpture styles that both young and old were entertained. We loved Grounds far more than Storm King. There are many more sculptures to look at and the pieces of art are much closer together than Storm King where you have to walk considerable distances to go from display to display. The grounds were well kept and manicured. I, personally, am not much of an art person but this place had me captivated. That's saying a lot.

Bring comfortable walking shoes for this fantastic facility. Despite being limited by Covid-19 precautions to the limitless outdoor exhibits, there is still so much to see and be amazed at. Lifesize and oversize sculptures of people and animals, plus countless other abstract pieces, in all types of materials. Even the surrounding roads and highways have sculptures. The landscaping and vegetation varieties will add to your visual amazement as well. Allow yourself several hours, and you will still probably not see everything.

A must see. Make sure you allow yourself 2 1/2 to 3 hours to see everything. Awesome art pieces on acres and acres of property.

Our family was highly impressed by Grounds for sculpture by the famous classical paintings that had been recreated through life size characters. The whole process is amazing from the molding to the actual real clothing submerged in resin and to my knowledge unique. So lifelike that we can confuse the statues for a real persons. Our 8 and 10 year old grand daugthers loved it as much. Best place we toured this summer. Real art both classical and modern. You will not be disappointed.
