What a wonderful place. We spent three hours there and enjoyed every moment. Between the fantastic art work and the beautifully landscaped grounds it's a win-win visit. There is a neat little restaurant called "The Rat" and they offer free walking tours (free if you paid admission that is). We took one and it was about 20 minutes in length... More

Grounds for Sculpture is a fantastic way to spend a morning. The artworks scattered about the grounds range from truly massive to handheld size and exploring to find hem all is half the fun! TIP: If you get the 10:00 am ticket, be aware they don't open the gates until just before 10:00. We had to park across the street... More

On a lovely Easter, the grounds for sculpture was bustling. People in their Sunday best head first to Rats Restaurant inside the park for a much awaited brunch(reservations a must). After which they walk around the grounds and experience depictions of art by Seward Johnson. Art as lifelike, life size and oversized ones grace the park. The likes of Monet,... More

Put Grounds for Sculpture on your agenda for an innovative and wonderful experience! It is situated on the former New Jersey State Fairgrounds and includes three of the major historic buildings, now creatively restored and repurposed. There is excellent contemporary outdoor sculpture arranged in clever and innovative ways in a beautiful garden setting. There is room to walk and explore... More

Really nice day with our Grandchildren in this park like setting. We wandered through the park admiring the flowers shrubs and yes, even peacocks this day. There were a lot of different artists showing all forms of painting and sculptures. The kids had a super day climbing on some sculptures (there are signs on some sculptures permitting touching and light... More

This place is absolutely awesome! The Out of the Frame series is so beautiful. See Monets, Renoirs, Van Goghs "out of their frame"! See Monet's garden. We were walking around and would come upon "couples" kissing in an archway, someone studying in the grass, children playing on the roof...they were all sculptures! My only regret is that it was so... One of the most beautiful landscape gardens in NY. The gardens are surrounded by greenery, with lot's of shaded tree line walks to escape the heat in, if you take it all in it takes an hour or so to visit, and the tree lined shaded paths are a welcome treat.Nearly forgot they've got amazing sculptures too.

It was fall during our 1st visit last 2015 and it was only open 'til 6pm. we weren't able to see everything since we started around 4pm. It was... More
