My partner and I officiated a 18+ men’s league game. The field was in terrific condition with grass mowed correctly in the infield and lined properly. There was no sand or divots in the infield or batting area. Just perfect. Lots of running room for fowl balls. Both teams enjoyed the DH. The rest of the park was equally in good condition. Restroom were clean. What a great experience compared to other facilities in the state.

This is a wonderful area to relax, recreate and enjoy oneself.
It's also an appropriate place to take a moment to remember what it takes, and has taken, for us to have the freedom to enjoy oneself.
It's fortunate we still have places that can remind us of those who have made, and continue to make the necessary sacrifice for the rest of us; those who know freedom isn't free.

We take our child to this park very frequently...they installed a new playground in recent years that the kids love and they have several areas for private picnics and parties (some areas must be reserved through the Township of Hamilton for a very small fee). We have reserved the Covered Pavilion several times and had incredible birthday parties there with up to 75 people. Theres always park guards on duty and there is an incredible Fighter Jet propped at the entrance of the park to commemorate our Veterans.....RECOMMENDED!

Near the north entrance of veterans park (adjacent HS) is a fantastic playground, or to be more accurate bunch of playgrounds. They are nicely spaced in a shaded grove of trees. There is everything: handicapped accessible, big kid, barely walking stuff, slides, & a sandbox. The variety & spacing are great. The playground always had kids even in the cold of fall winter and spring. There is plenty of room for kids to explore and use their imagination. Nearby is a stream with ducks and fish. The walking trails lead from there as far as you would want to go.
Hands down it's one of the best playgrounds around. The mix of equipment the space to roam and the kids to play with are great the only potential downside is it can be muddy after heavy rains (only a day or so).

There are many options at this park. If you walk, bike or run you'll find trails suitable for all. There's a children's playground, skate park, ball fields and many paths. If you're a running you can signup for a fun run through the park (there are several throughout the year). The New Years Day (HangOver Run) is great!

Take a walk, it is good for you. You might get to see a blue heron, turkey, or some deer. This is a very well maintained park with nice trails and some great bike paths , and folks, this is New Jersey, enjoy it while it is still here. Moms and Dads bring the kids, they have a very nice, large, safe area for all the kiddies. Parking is adequate and safe .

Hamilton Township (Twp of Trenton, NJ) is a Clean Township. I am a very proud "Vietnam Veteran" resident of this township. Our politicians do their jobs keeping it "Clean", "Problematic Free"(much as Possible), The Hamilton Twp. Veterans Park is a great park to visit, walk in, jog, or just sit and take in the beauty of such a place. The lake is relaxing to look at together with the different wildlife, while walking to your car in the West entrance parking lot. Once there, you will notice again an Anchor to remember our Sailors and Naval personnel.
At the East you will notice from that parking area a Tank & a Helicopter surrounded by a fence. When you are at that location LOOK DOWN you will see many Engraved Brick Pavers encircling the relics, with the names of Military personnel Living & those who have Passed. Step Lightly and read the bricks you will be amazed.
The North end No parking area. Park across the street at Steinert school lot. You will notice a fighter jet, giving thanks to all of our Veteran Airmen & Women. Thanks to our Women Pilots of today who do an excellent job in the war zones, as do their male partners.
At the South Entrance You will notice a monument Stone memorializing our Marines. "Beautifully engraving on a Beautiful Stone. Please stop by the memorial I believe there are stone seating benches to sit on and reminis.
There are Tennis Courts, Dog Runs, Soccer practice fields, Walking track, Rest rooms, Skating rinks, Skateboarding areas, Basketball courts.
Hamilton Township's. Veterans Park is a park you will remember and enjoy visiting.Whatever your reason(s) are to visit there.

Organized sports on one side (south), Playground and picnicking on the other (north).
Other 2 sides are more tranquil.
Nice dog park when not crowded with out-of-towners.
Monuments are top notch.

I am President of the NJ Bluebird Society. We have infrequent meetings (maybe 2-3 a year) with 5-10 people present. Maybe once a year we have an open house where we invite the public to either an indoor meeting (15 people or possibly an outside picnic with 20 people). We serve the entire State so need a centrally located place that is convenient for all our members. This Park was recommended but I am unfamiliar with it.

Yes definitely the park can handle that size. The park is rather large and sits on a large block size area. I believe it's the west side that has covered picnic tables in case it rains. Just look for the tennis courts/soccer and baseball fields and you can't miss it.
The north side also has picnic tables and a nice bathroom area.
