Nice Korean Spa. They are nice to greet you upon arrival. You can either prepay on the website or when you arrive. I found the overall facilities to be clean. There was not any males allowed in the Womens area they are separate from each other. I enjoyed the body scrub. I enjoyed the food at the restaurant the food was fresh and prompt. Other people at the spa kept to themselves if anything it is the guest may use the cell phone in the quiet area.

I had an absolutely fantastic day here. Super clean facility. We checked our shoes in the front locker and went to the female locker room where You change into the spa uniform. The different sauna and ice rooms are co ed and we’re really nice. I napped in the sleeping room and lounged in the lounge room. The female bath house is nude only . I was a bit nervous about that but ultimately felt very comfortable , everyone’s nude so just go with it. The baths were great but I had the absolute best treatment: the body scrub plus. An hour of complete euphoria. I highly recommend. Yes the scrub is done in the general bath area however you will quickly forget that . You are scrubbed all over and buckets of warm soothing water poured over you followed by an oil rub , lotion rub , warm rinse, short massage, your hair is washed and scalp massaged And then your body is covered in a milk rinse . It’s absolutely decadent and I was so grateful to the technician who was so wonderful. Ill have to treat myself to this way more often! Also do yourself a favor, keep your phone in the locker, just disconnect and relax !

My boyfriend and I came here for his birthday and had a couples swedish massage. Let me say that I loved the entire process of how they have it setup here. Its so clean and absolutely relaxing. I felt very comfortable walking around with no shoes on. Loved how friendly the staff was. I was torn between giving it 3 or 4 stars and I will explain why. First I wanted two swedish massages but I felt like I got a deep tissue massage instead and I have had quite a few of swedish and deep tissue massages in the past. I would have preferred if she had asked if I had a problem areas which she didn't. I felt she was way more rougher than is typical for swedish. She didn't rub my head or massage it. She actually scratched my hair as if I was getting a wash. It was very different. I didn't leave there as happy as I wanted to be considering how badly I needed a massage. I would come back here but probably wouldn't do a massage again.

Ok the second reason why I gave it three stars was that I had a gift card that my boss gave me and they said they don't take them. When I originally setup my appointment she saw I had a gift card but told me payment doesn't happen until I come in for my appointment and you pay when you check out. I should have reconfirmed that but I also feel slightly like I was made to believe they accepted them. Why wouldn't you since its as good as cash. In any case I paid the full price and now I still have $100 for another massage somewhere else.

Oh and this place is right down the street from my house so slightly disappointing.

It's unfortunate that we couldn't visit this place as we reserved an appointment prior for a surprise on my wife's birthday. We booked nov 2nd. Asked of covid19 guidelines and rules in play by their Mgmt. On the day of the reservation, nov 19th, we simply called to confirm if we need our own slips and towels. When we bluntly learned that we have to provide a covid19 test result within the last 5 days. I respect their decision of wanting it. But unfortunately their policies doesn't request it at 1st point of purchase. It's strange how the policy went in play nov 1st. We booked the nov 2nd, and employees weren't trained or forgot to mention that to me at the point of the reservation.

What's depressing is on the day on the reservation without prior acknowledgment they want to blame me for their error and charge me 25% cancellation fee. I was willing to provide a prior older test result and nothing that was from the past 5 days because we weren't informed about it. Their management simply said they best they can do is say sorry. And most is to void the fee.

It's also NOT comforting to know that the business have no feelings or concerns on their error to even offer a credit or reduced admission or anything else to make up for their failure. They want our 25% when we cancel but when it's their fault they still want 25% of the reservation.. but when you argue and based on the recorded phone call logs, your correct. They can only offer a "sorry" without the comfort or hospitality.

I really wanted to take my wife there and enjoy spending nearly $1k with of service's for her birthday as a surprise. Sadly it left me calling 20+ other spas (in front of her birthday) to almost nearly begging to get a last-minute couples appt. no compassion or payment was made for my lost in tolls, travel, gas.. or most importantly time for this business.

Will I come again? 1st impression are all it takes to make that decision.. but this business wants to apply rules & in-force them (respect to the rules) without acknowledging (main issue) them prior.

Things that could have offered.. "keep your mask on" "discounts to keep a customer to coming back" "social distance" "take in consideration that we had a older negative result and accept it due to the lack on their part" OVERALL be more hospitable & not be a stuck-up about "how great you are" "amazing prior reviews" keep in mind a customer is what makes you.. and unfortunately my negative review should be acknowledged and informed to your customers.. if you treat them just a another number.. you business will become just like another local.

There is a 10% discount on spa services offered In the locker Room. You must text body scrub to island spa. After trying to download AQR code and going to the front desk, It appears I have to download an app. Kakao talk Is what the app is called. Or at least I think. It is a Korean app. That is OK. When you go to install it, it will not allow you to install if you do not allow access to all of your contacts. Those who have this app have already done so. Even the front desk admitted that it is used mostly by Koreans. Even the front desk admitted that it is used mostly by Koreans.I said I can not give business contacts and others to an app. I even joked that you just gave your mother phone number come up when you download this app.

I feel this is possibly unintentional but a bit discriminatory towards people who are not Korean. There is another factor that people who are a little bit older are less likely to want to give away the contacts. I think this is a bit extreme to get 10% off. At most businesses you just text a number and the body scrub. They text back the coupon. I feel this is possibly unintentional but a bit discriminatory towards people who are not Korean. There waas only a manager there. He said he couldn't do anything. I said I am sure other people or even the owner can give a body scrub for free If they wanted to. I am just looking for a simple 10% off. Give me a break!

IJust don't think it's right. If you think I am wrong, please leave a comment.

I loved island Spa the 1st time I came. It is still very nice and Covid friendly

I’ve been coming here ever since it opened, but it has seriously gone downhill. It’s crowded even first thing on a weekday, and people talk loudly in the baths and saunas, so the atmosphere is not peaceful. I had to wait 10 minutes to check out while the receptionists checked in people who came in after me. When I complained about it, no apology was offered. I will not be coming back.

This place is totally relaxing, totally rejuvenating and clean. Spa services available, but I did not use them. Snacks, meals and beverages are available, too. You can bring your electronics if you plan to stay a while and bounce between the pools (not coed and no electronics allowed) and saunas (coed). I can easily spend five hours here, but always spend much more. There are common areas for lounging, eating, watching t.v. and conversing with others, if you choose. You can bring your own clean socks, if you prefer to not walk around barefoot, as they have you check your shoes at the entrance. You'll be given your own locker for your shoes and another locker inside, for your clothes and other belongings. Also, bring a vessel for water, if you plan to stay hydrated, as they have water coolers throughout the facility. Enjoy your stay!

Ouch!! I didn't know how I felt after receiving my 90 minutes Hot Rocks Massage. Only my back was massaged with the hot rocks for a limited amount of time, I should have just gotten a deep tissue massage. I didn't start to feel pain until I woke up from my sleep. However the Spa appeared to have taken the necessary safety precaution to service guests during this pandemic. I could see this being a nice facility, one fully operational. Staff was very attentive and friendly.

Wow just amazing. I first heard about traditional Korean scrub and massage ten years ago. I can’t believe I waited so long. I have been extremely stressed and was actually looking for a sauna to help detox my body so that I can get my mind right ( stress free). Unfortunately saunas are closed but I decided to get an hour scrub and massage. The spa was quiet relaxing and extremely clean. Umi (not sure if spelled correctly) scrubbed me down and massaged me the warm water pored on my body frequently during massage was amazing. The experience was almost euphoric. Hot tubs amazing. I will definitely be back. I feel so refreshed and left smiling and stress free. Just amazing absolutely amazing. I recommend everyone try Island Spa & sauna.

I had one of the worst massages here in my life. It was supposed to be a Sweedish with aromatherapy, it wasn't; I'm not sure what kind of massage you would call this.

1. You don't get a massage room, you get a slot in what I imagine is a long line of sub par massage beds separated by a curtain. (fine I can deal with that)

2. The masseuse did not ask if I had any injuries or if there was something in particular that was bothering me. (there wasn't, so I let this slide)

3. She began, with my shorts on (rules of the spa), covered me with towels and then began putting pressure on my back and arms... over and over and over again. I asked if this was going to be the whole massage because if it was I was going to get up. So then she pulled the towels off and started what I guess you can call a massage. Feather light strokes on my back and arms. And then at points rubbed me with a towel. I kept laying there, hoping this would get better but it didn't. I don't know why I stayed, I should have gotten up.

4. Instead of massaging my scalp, she lightly scratched it with her fingers.

5. After I'm guessing 40 minutes of putting lotion on my back and arms, because thats pretty much all it was, she then moved to my lower body, more of the same. Felt like someone putting sunscreen on me.

6. Half the massage, I was covered in towels and pressure was put on different parts of my body. Sure thats great and all. Normally I like that, but it felt never ending.

7. I barely got an actually shoulder or neck massage, you know, the one place on the body where stress accumulates for many people. I got a I'm rubbing this town on you to take the lotion off.

8. The massage beds had barely had face pillow (it was towels) and no bolster pillows for your legs. My knees started to hurt from laying face down so I planted my toes down, heels up until she grabbed something to support them. Not a bolster, more towels.

9. There was no aromatherapy in my aromatherapy massage.

10. It's super awkward when she makes you sit up and to put your shirt back on for you.

At no point during the massage was I relaxed or felt any kind of therapeutic release. I laid there the whole time thinking what is this woman doing and is she done yet. I would have spoken to her but I'm pretty sure she barely knew any English.

I feel like the whole massage place is a factory line, the customers are just parts and the masseuse a factory worker. I guess because they suppose they aren't getting an additional tip, why give a good massage. It wasn't a massage where they are trying to get your kinks out and actually make you feel better. It was a rote factory worker, doing their line work, awaiting the next body that comes 5 minutes later.

The icing on the cake was, no one asked me how the massage had gone. The girl at the front massage desk was clueless and apathetic. Upon checking out, I asked the front desk whom I could speak to about my massage and she said her. So I told her my story, and she politely nodded her head and smirked. And then said, "Well its still 95 dollars for the massage and I'll pass that along."

Great customer service Island Spa. I will never get a massage here again.
