Save your money. Totally overpriced for the experience. Massage was mediocre (tip automatically included)and I felt like cattle being herded through the facility. Hope I don’t get athletes foot, no shoes allowed and no sandals provided. After spending $500 for two massages, think they could throw in a towel to use after showing? Nope- rentals only or bring your own. Not the 5 star experience I was hoping for 😕

Dear Andreanp123, Thank you for sharing this feedback. As a Korean day spa, some aspects of the experience of visiting SoJo differ from typical American spas (including our no-shoe policy, which is aligned with traditional Korean Spa culture). At this time, we are inviting our guests to bring in their own towels if they prefer, although we do offer them as rentals, if needed. Guests may also wear clean socks in all of our indoor areas and flip flops or sandals in the Bath House and outdoor areas. We apologize that you were not aware of these policies prior to your visit and make this information available on our website and on the booking confirmation email so first-time guests know what to expect for their upcoming visit. Best, Jennifer

Visited the SoJo Spa this week with a friend. Weather was nice and the Tuesday price of $65 per person was attractive. The spaces were sparkling clean and the staff was vigilant about clients wearing masks (when required). Overall, the experience was very good- the entry and locker processes were well thought-out and convenient. Spa was not at all crowded with few wait times. A few thoughts: Much of the spa is closed due to COVID restrictions. There were many indoor/outdoor hot pools, but no sauna or steam room options. After moving from pool to pool, it would have been nice to break up the experience with dry heat, salt or body scrub experiences. For me, it felt more like a $50 experience than a $75 one. There are shampoo, conditioner and body wash available in the showers. After a few hours in the water, my skin got very dry. I wish I had brought a face/body moisturizer or that it was provided/available for sale. Hand cream is available for sale as are several masks and scrubs. We had lunch- the food was very good- but pricy. We had waterproof bracelets for payment and for lockers. That was very convenient. Towels were not provided, but robes were- and we were able to exchange our wet robes for dry ones as needed. It was not easy to dry/ warm our used towels, however, so I would suggest bringing a few and keeping the dry ones in the changing room locker. When we inquired about options for drying bathing suits, the locker room staff did offer "loungewear" in addition to the robes. This was a set of shorts with an oversize tee. Not cute. Felt a bit like Walmart met a hospital ward. Lastly, no outside drinks are allowed. There are filtered water fountains and it looked like many guests brought along empty, reusable water bottles. Drinks are available to purchase in the cafe area, but I found myself thirsty all day given the heated pools. Staff was very polite and helpful.

I am reviewing a visit pre-covid because with many of the facilities closed it doesn't give a full picture of the spa. My wife and I treated ourselves to a post new years visit on a Sunday and it was spectacular. We arrived as the spa was opening and a Sunday in the winter the crowds don't show up in force until later in the afternoon. The facilities were clean and the signage was clear. My wife I really enjoyed the Ganbanyoku Room and the Hinoki Bath; definitely our top two. We paid the extra fees for the Halotherapy Room and the Volcanic Sand Bath. The former was nice and we could feel the salt in the air. The later was not enjoyable at all and neither my wife nor I would do it again, but I am not removing a star just because we didn't enjoy it. We had a tasty and refreshing lunch, though the pricing was a bit high. At least the food quality (Bulgogi) was top-notch. Overall, if you can spend an entire day here then the entrance fee is well worth it.
