Arrived the afternoon of July 20, one of the hottest days of the year. Place was mobbed, as expected, but the crowd was very well behaved despite the crowding, long lines and disorganization. Because WOW, management, you could do SO much better without too much more work!!! I felt like management was protecting THEIR interests, NOT trying to help people have a safe, fun time. It was definitely well-maintained and a cool setup with fun stuff to do, but wow, the attitude.

I will come back but will prepare much better:
1. Come when it opens. Like, be there BEFORE it opens. You're more likely to beat the crowds.
2. Bring a trunk picnic. Pack a cooler with snacks and ice packs to leave in your car so you can eat when you get out. Not sure whether they allow re-entry but I couldn't spend more than 3 hours there.
3. Don't bother trying to find a parking spot when you first drive in. Drive ALL the way around--it's one-way--to the OTHER side of the parking lot and park near the ADDITIONAL entrance. You can see it when you first drive in but because of the one-way, you can't turn right to drive to it. So go all the way around! You won't have to walk so far in the heat, and can drive right out when you're done.
4. Buy your tickets online for the eeny-weeny savings of a few dollars and tiny time savings of waiting in the shorter line for web purchasers.
5. If you have a group of more than 4, splurge for the cabana and plan to spend the whole day to get your money's worth. You'll at least have FOOD and a good spot to leave your stuff.

Here's what I noticed, and how management can fix it:

1. PROBLEM: NO outside food OR WATER allowed in... but insane lines for (slow) concession. Major problem on a hot day that we couldn't get a cold drink or any food after NINETY MINUTES in line. There was only one line for all food offerings, and the orders for burgers, pizza and wings held everything up. Slowest cooks ever... and dumb to make everyone wait, whether they want pizza or not. (Plus, pizza on a hot day? BLEAH.)
SOLUTION 1: Create separate lines for drinks, for cold food, and for longer-cooking food. That way people who really want to wait for a pizza can, while the rest of us can at least get a drink in less than 90 minutes! YES, EVEN BOTTLED WATER TOOK THAT LONG.
SOLUTION 2: Offer food packages with TIMED prep. Purchase a combo for pickup at noon, 12:15, etc. using a web app. NOT HARD and helpful for the kitchen--management could limit the number of meals that can be ordered during each time slot to keep it easy for the kitchens.
SOLUTION 3: Have several stands selling JUST bottled water and frozen treats scattered around the park. You have one selling those stupid water squirters, which nobody needs. You can easily get some big coolers with umbrellas and would probably make big money from those small investments, while making guests feel like you CARE ABOUT THEIR NEEDS.

Come on, we KNOW you can do better and make this place AMAZING and FUN to visit.

2. PROBLEM: Very few, very expensive lockers. Where are we supposed to keep our credit cards or cash while we're in the water, since we absolutely have to bring them because we HAVE to buy your food? The only lockers I could find were in the wash-house, and there we not many of them... and they cost SEVEN DOLLARS.
SOLUTION: Smaller, cheaper lockers. Charge a quarter, or better, yet, NOTHING, for cubby-size combination lockers. There is PLENTY of space to install racks and racks of these.

3. PROBLEM: "30 MINUTE TIME LIMIT" signs posted in the eating areas... which are the only shade available. Way to make us feel unwelcome, and to limit the options for people who need to get out of the heat.
SOLUTION 1: Create more shaded areas. I know you want people to pay for cabanas... but those aren't available for rental on the weekend, and WOW did we need them. What are people with young children supposed to do? Again, show your guests that we are welcome, not just cattle to be controlled. Sheesh.
SOLUTION 2: Alert us with inviting signage that the areas under the water slides at the back are available for shaded seating: "Please join us this way for shade!" Folks all crowded around the interactive pool so they had no idea that these quieter, shaded areas existed, and neither did I until I spotted them through the fencing as we walked the long, hot walk back to our car.

Come on, management, I know you can make this place fantastic!

This is a great place for kids, average food and coffee but a little pricey but expected. Great slide and shooting guns. No fee for adults which is refreshing. Only downside is dirty tables and system to collect dirty plates and trays. I sat next to old plates for nearly 2 hours on a very quiet day. Shame on you funplex.

I took my eleven year old to the Funplex this afternoon because it looked like a great place to spend the day. The first thing that you will notice is the out of control kids running around unsupervised. No parents or staff in site to keep everyone under control. There are a nice variety of rides and games and we didn't have any issues with long lines. One downside though is the price. It is very expensive and overpriced in my opinion. Same goes for the food. Very overpriced and mediocre at best. My daughter did have a great time and loved all the rides. The day was going good until we were ready to leave. The ticket redemption machine was broken and it took about 20 minutes to get someone to come fix it. Once we got our points we headed to the prize counter and that is where the trouble started. We were waiting in line and were looking at all the prizes to chose from. We didn't realize we were being called up to the counter and a group of individuals behind us rudely told us that we were next. After my daughter told the group that they didn't need to say it so rudely they proceeded to get loud and start ranting and raving like a bunch of animals. They were a bunch of 20 something year olds looking to start a fight with an 11 year old. After I told them to end it they continued and grew louder and louder. We left right away before things got out of hand. The staff saw the altercation and did nothing about It. Unfortunately due to this certain clientele we will not be back.

I went to the Funplex in Mt. Laurel Friday with my three children and was extremely disappointed in the experience we had for the pretty penny spent there.
They require you to purchase admission for anyone 36 inches and taller so naturally I bought all three of my kids wristbands since they are all above 36 inches. We planned on staying a while so it seemed like the best value since it included unlimited rides and games. I also upgraded my own admission because I was advised at entrance that some rides my require and adult to ride with the younger kids.
My youngest child was only able to ride ONE ride in the entire place! My middle child was allowed to ride most rides but only with an adult which meant she too could only ride ONE ride in the entire place because I could not bring my youngest on the ride with us. I feel like I spent all this extra money for no reason since my kids couldn’t do what was advertised. I mean unlimited rides on one ride?? Come on!! I feel completely ripped off!
I did speak to a supervisor who wasn’t very helpful or sympathetic in my opinion and most workers there were very rude. My oldest even commented on how rude they were and looked as if they didn’t want to be there.
Needless to say we will not be returning to the Funplex again nor will I ever recommend it to anyone. The people running admissions should have told me there wasn’t going to be much for my younger kids to do in the ride department. They should have tried to help me figure which package would be better for us and most cost efficient.

I came with my school for a field trip and we were honestly having a good time. We decided to go play laser tag, and it was obvious the two ladies working there were pretty angry. They refused to go over instructions or help us put on our vests. Several times they told us to shut the hell up. They were really nice to the boys with us (around 4) and pretty rude to the girls (about 15, we wore the hijab). After the game ended pretty early, they let the boys out then started yelling at us. They started cursing at us, threatened to beat us, and when we started to argue back, they locked us in the room. They said we couldn't come back in because we ran in the game, however, the boys did the same thing and didn't even get warned. Any other of our female schoolmates (also wore the hijab) weren't allowed to play even though they did nothing prior. Anyone who tried to ask what happened got yelled at was told to get the hell away.

We have been coming here for 15 years. Really shocked at new policy. All have to buy at least $25 ticket. So if you are coming with grandparents etc... to watch kids play, you all have to buy ticket. So two parents two grandparents who are not participating would have to pay 100 dollars just to enter terrible.

Hello. As our amusement park has grown over the years we have moved into an admission based operations. To keep our park family friendly we do give value with the purchase Funband admission wristband. This includes 60 arcade credits that can be used between everyone in your group in the arcade and on the attractions. We are also currently offering a 10% seniors discount. We appreciate your feedback. Please feel free to reach out to stephen@thefunplex.com with any further comments, concerns, or suggestions you wish to share. Thank you.

My daughter celebrated her 13th birthday yesterday at East Hanover location with her friends and I want to share our experience. First of all, my daughter had a blast and so did her friends! They were fully entertained from the beginning to the end. The kids won't stop talking about it and most of the kids ended up staying even after the party ended to use their credits. They also said that they had the best host (LOQUAN) and I agreed ! I also want to say THANK YOU to the 2 gentlemen Supervisors who accommodated me when I and/or the kids needed something. Unfortunately, I never got their names but I hope they are reading this. This is the 2nd time my daughter had a party here (none package the 1st time) with a group of 18 kids/adults 2 years ago and also had a great time so I highly recommend this place.

This place is awesome... even as I write this people are walking around saying how cool this is 🙂 foam frenzy is fun with foam balls , it has shooters .
We got the highest wristband, it has a bar code to scan for everything. Drinks are $3 and some of the food is pricey. This location has a water area outside for the summers.

This is a great place to go year round, but obviously better in the summer when the Splashplex part is open.

The Splashplex complex is a waterpark that is very good for kids up to about 12-13 years old. After that age I think a "real" waterpark is more appropriate. The pools and slides are really fun and family friendly. The majority of the lifeguards are very professional.

Indoor is a year round amusement park. They have go-karts, rides, arcades and laser tag. Similar to Splashplex, I think kids over the age of 13 will think the place is too small for them. The go-karts in particular are nice and quick and lots of fun!

Both locations are well kept, clean and the I think the pricing is comparable to other similar locations.

Overall, a fun place to visit!
