Worth a visit to see these majestic creatures. They howl so wonderfully there's nothing like it. The information we received by the owners was so informative that I have a greater appreciation and respect for this animal, the foxes were also very entertaining and informative. But when your done with the animals make sure you pick up the maple syrup... More

We are so glad we were told about this wonderful place. Up so close with the wolves and howls! There are 4 species here. Learning about how this sanctuary came about, they are cared for, dedication of the owners, was so heartening. The knowledge imparted on bobcats and foxes was great as well. Kids over 5 will listen and relate... More

This wolf preserve was located on a camp ground that offered the tranquility of nature with an old fashion slow pace feel. You can take a walk or a shuttle to get to the wolf enclosures where the education begins. The guardian of the wolves plus a few other animals (silver foxes and a Bob cat) was very knowledgeable and... More

Endangered wolf species rescue site. See four packs (3-5 each) of Grey and Arctic wolves up close. Visitors are bused (or you can walk) about 1/2 mile to enclosures. Talk given is about 2 hours & very informative. Cold when I was there so dress for the weather, you are outside the whole time. Also on site is rescued Red... More

This preserve is well maintained and the owners have a true love for their animals. Their presentation about the different kinds of wolves, and their habitat gives you a very good understanding of how well they can adapt to their environment. We are planning on going back again with our grandchildren. This is a must see if you have any... More

Got to see up close and personal the wolves, foxes, and bobcats. Wonderful educational experience, although I would have appreciated more time with the wolves and less time with the foxes and bobcats.

We just went for a tour on Sunday at 4:30pm. The couple who run this sanctuary are trying to do the right thing under sometimes difficult circumstances. They are very informative, very in-depth. Be prepared to stand on your feet for almost 2 hours while the tours are happening. It is almost a bit too long, but it is interesting.... More

My husband and I took our grandsons, ages 5 and 7, to Lakota in August. On the weekends, you don't need reservations, but there are set times for the tours. It's waaay back into the woods on a very hilly access road. It's both a wolf preserve and a campground. We were all very excited to see the wolves, but... More
