Some people do go to Delicious Orchards for their full grocery shopping, and yes… it’s pricey. BUT most people go for the donuts (and other baked goods), the cider and the amazing produce section. They also have an excellent butcher, cheese and coffee area along with normal staples. Every time I’m visiting NJ, I have to swing by DO for some of that cider and those donuts - it’s worth the trip!

I loved this place! An outrageous amount of fruits and vegetables to choose from. Many of which, I had never seen before. Large selection of salsas, oils, hot sauces, dressings, pastas, nuts, etc. I bought a mini peach pie because I didn't want a whole one. The mini was $5 and the full pie was $15. $5 seems high for such a tiny pie but it was delicious.

I can always find the freshest produce here at this store. Prices are somewhat high and the meats are even higher but you are paying for the quality. It's a great store if you want to shop quickly and have a nice experience. Plenty of staff and a great juice bar too!

We visited the orchards on an afternoon and were surprised at the variety of fresh fruits and vegetables that were available. They offer many from other countries and other farms, though not so much from their own. They also have a variety of many cheeses from other countries. They do offer a variety of fresh breads and baked goods ( cookies, pies, doughnuts). The pies were tremendously disappointing (that's why we came). While there was not a great deal of berries in the pie, there was a great deal of pectin! The pie was like eating glue with a few berries. The crust wasn't all that flaky. I tried the chocolates and they were just okay. The plants outside for sale were a bit pricy. I would go back for the fresh fruits and vegetables. Fresh coffee and whole bean is available for purchase as well.

We read about this market in a local news article about their apple products. We pulled up and wondered what they were giving away for free. Packed parking lot. The garden center with pumpkins, gourds and outdoor decorations was a labyrinth of carts. The fritter shack had a line dozens long that then split into 2 more lines to get your fritters, and then a separate one to pay. and it took 20 minutes. What?

And then you enter the market. A literal cattle chute of carts and the herds of shoppers making stops all along the long narrow displays for donuts, pies, bread, cakes, cheeses, before you get filtered into the meat and deli section. It seemed like lots of locals returning every year for their family favorites. Since we had no prior history and prices were high, we took our 3 tiny fritters for $5, bought an apple cider at the cider bar and 3 apples.

An overpriced tourist trap in our eyes.

Been going here for years. Good bakery items and some specialty produce. When we used to go in the past we looked forward to buy a Cup of coffee and donut on the way out.

Now you have to go outside where food is also served but the staff is very slow. Yesterday I waited a few minutes to get a coffee with one person in front of me ordering food. It seemed that they were waiting to prepare other orders before taking his. All I wanted was a cup of coffee but got disgusted and left.

Last time before this I purchased food and not given a receipt for my credit card purchase and when I asked for it the staff was very confused on how to print it.

Finally yesterday we went and after purchasing some items went to the cashier where no one was on line. As I was loading my items on the belt the cashier tells me "I'm taking care of someone". I said what does that mean? She told me the person she is checking out forgot something and went to pick it up. She had rung up her order but was waiting for her to return. Trying to be understanding I said ok no problem but after quite a few minutes went by I asked the cashier what did the person forget? Her answer was cold cuts. I almost lost it. So a cashier is held up with customers waiting so a customer could go to the cold cut line wait to be served and then come back to pay for her order. I told the cashier that that is the worst customer service ever. She didn't even seem too concerned about my comment (I guess because she was just standing there doing nothing) when finally a supervisor came by and I asked her how long we should all wait for the customer to come back? She did the smart thing apologized and totaled out the order so the rest of us who were on line could pay. And during this entire time the person didn't return until my order was paid for and bagged.

Delicious Orchards in located on Route 34 in Colts Neck. The parking is the worst of the visit. It is always crowded. The best time to visit is in the Fall for their Great Pies. The Pies are a good value for your buck. Their fruit is also outstanding. It is certainly worth the trip..

I have been shopping here for over 30 years and I still can't believe how well that handle large crowds so smoothly. The quality of their fruits and vegetables cannot be beaten and you can find whatever you want year round. Famous for their homemade pies and the bakery items, are all made on the premise. A Coconut Custard pie is rated 5 stars. How they are never out of something is extraordinary as they constantly restore items so that each section always looks full.

At Delicious Orchards it does, in the way the cost of their produce .Its impossible to imagine that things could be so out of whack. prices for fruit and Pies and Produce. Whew! One can get a great quality of these items, just go to a farmers market or even Trader Joes. the things are so much better and the prices are so much cheaper. Why pay 5x more for the Name. Think about it people unless your a big income family, stay with the good ole markets.
