The reservoir is another one of Hunterdon County's nature gems year round. In the summer, the park attracts thousands of visitors, so come early, especially on holidays. As locals, we enjoy this area year round, especially off season. It offers a beach (if water is...More

We just went on a whim and were we surprised. Beautiful trails, nice lake views and swimming. Great camp sites, lots of room. Good family spot...kids will love fishing and playing at wide clean open shore line. Handy place on site for hamburgers and snacks..

Nice place for a swim in summer but you have to deal with the crowds. People everywhere! Unfortunately they leave their garbage on the beach which is gross. Great place for a bike ride, picnic,or flying a kite. Also good for car camping.

Great place to walk with your dog but don’t bother in the summer. Park is super crowded with many people from out of the area who liter and have no respect for the park.

One of our favorite family camping destinations. Very clean, very peaceful, and perfect for families with relatively young kids, especially for that "first-time" camping experience.

We visited on a Saturday in August. There was no problem with parking even though we arrived around noon. The lake water was clear and clean, shallow and warm, perfect for kids. There is also a playground right next to the beach. There were a...More

Motor boats are allowed. I'm not sure of the launch fee. You can get all your questions answered at the NJ dept of parks and forrest website.
