About
Clementon Park and Splash World is among the oldest operating parks in the country and has been in operation since 1907. Founded by NJ Assemblyman Theodore Gibbs as a simple swimming destination on Clementon Lake, the property steadily grew by offering rides, attractions and a water park. Recent additions include Laguna Kahuna, a five-story, one-acre Polynesian water play land; Ring of Fire, a thrilling 60-foot looping coaster; Thunder Drop featuring a 100-foot free fall ride; and the 23,000-square foot Big Wave Bay wave pool.

    Slowly coming back
It has been a very long time since I was last here. My friend and I decided to make this part of our amusement park trip through this area for that reason. The park is mostly water park now. I am not a water park fan, but I am glad to see them as part of the amusement park package price patrons pay to get into a place. Land that used to have mechanical rides is now water attractions. Mechanical rides are few. This park was purchased by a Chicago businessman who also saved two other parks from being destroyed. He is trying to make the parks better, and I know this will take time. A few new rides have been added. Some of the rides were down the day we were there, a couple because parts were not available at the manufacturing place. The rides seemed to be running fairly well, although Hellcat coaster is rough in many spots. I can see some new wood in the track, but more is needed. As a result, people can only ride in the first two cars, leaving the last two empty. That greatly reduces capacity on busy days, but those seats are probably very bumpy with the track still in need of some work. Food options are minimal, and the gift shops is still finding souvenirs that work well reflecting the park. I used my pass to Indiana Beach to get into the park. Oddly enough, though both parks are in the same family, our passes did NOT scan properly here like passes from Six Flags or Cedar Fair scan easily at their sister parks. Someone from guest services had to come verify our passes, and we had to wait some time before he arrived. The park looked to be clean. I am glad to see some improvements being done. I look forward to returning in a few years to see all the new things that have been added and worked on.

Nice spot for a day trip
This spot is a good value and well worth a day trip. The water park is good. The amusement portion has an old carnival feel. There are plenty of employees both in the water park and the amusement section. In general it is well maintained. There were a few rides which were closed due to maintenance. The staff is mostly teenagers but they were well trained and it was apparent that they were well aware of all safety precautions. We did not try the food but did purchase beverages. The food was typical amusement park fare. I have read reviews that said this park was “ghetto”. I disagree snd find those comments racist. On the day we were there, a hot August Monday, the rides were very accessible and had few lines and the water park was very manageable. My grandkids preferred this park vs. Diggerland.

Local theme park without the crazy lines
The place to go if you just want a fun day and not crazy wait times. Only the water park part was open when we were there but it was pretty hot and that is all I needed anyway. I thought all of the staff were very nice and the guests were friendly as well. Maybe everyone's just happy covid is over.

Half the rides were not open. They did not have enough staff members to run all the rides. The lazy river had a lot of debris/leaves in it that should have been cleaned out. They did not give no discount for half the rides being closed (water & amusements).. The food is overpriced and horrible. Bring your own cooler and its a short walk to the car to eat. To purchase an alcohol beverage you must have you ID even if you are 50 or 60 in age. We did not bring or ID's and wallets into the water-park, so we could not purchase.Staff is rude & unknowlegable

The food is terrible.

I went there for a family event and ate from chickie and pete’s and let me tell you,
after eating from there i would never want to eat from any chickie and pete’s because a couple minutes later my stomach was KILLING me and i was on the toilet for most of the time and after that my stomach was messed up for a week or less and i would never want to go there again.

The water park is pretty good, the amusement park side not as much. Seems like a very nice place to bring the kids.

I have been going to this park since i was a child , and i never had such a horrible time ,then i did this trip . We waiting in long lines for food to be told when we got the front that was none left and maybe an hour wait , so we try the pretzel factory same thing and it was only 1pm , thankfully i had snacks and waters in my car that we to then walk out to because they would even sell a soda while you waited for the food , after that we go to ride the Hellcat which i think is the old jackrabbit , after riding that with my 10 year son , we both came off the ride hurt , because the track is so messed up they cant even fill the full cart , you suppose to get scared at the top of a rollercoaster not fear for the life when hit the bottom , when i say bumpy ride i hit head muiplte times and since then i haven't been able to move my neck , the next morning my son complain of back pain , so its not my old age , that ride should not be is use and i highly recommend riding it you will come off hurting , then as we leave we waiting forever for simple things water ice , staff playing rather then working and just an all time rude experience , the water park is great but be nice if it were clean , this was my last trip there , they should just let it close down it will never be the park it once was so many years ago

The water park is really fun but the regular park is not the safest rides, it's not bad but things where breaking down and the people running the rides really did not seem trained or very observant, the roller coaster seats would not lock so they shut it down, over all just go for water park , forget the rest..

Great old park. Perfect for a family day out, not a "destination" park. Wish they had kept the Jack Rabbit coaster, great old woody.

They did not open for the fall events they had planned. It looks like they may not be coming back to here.
