Fun!

I had a great time at The Big Event. They renovated the bowling scoreboard to make it easier to change bumper settings and names. Also, they have themed scoreboards. These features made the experience more fun! They did have a “School’s Out” special, a very low price per person of 1 hour of bowling and 1 hour of arcade. We did not do that because we had to go places after. Otherwise, it is a great location and people could walk right over to Dunkin’ Donuts, honeygrow and 5 Below to hang out after.

Food worth visit at this super entertainment venue

Went 2 weeks in a row to watch a Bowling league was impressed with the food. The fried pickles were crisp, the grilled cheese was crispy and gooey and the pepperoni pizza is worth the trip in itself.

Good for bowling, but the arcade is calculated to take your money.
Sep 2019
Today my wife and I took our teenage grandsons bowling here and we all enjoyed the experience, which included lots of statistics in real time on a display screen about the progress of each of us. The kids loved that part. The arcade, on the other hand, makes it too easy to loose money fast and it's almost impossible to win anything of value. One hour of bowling, including shoe rental, cost about $40 and the place was mobbed with mostly children. This seems rather expensive to me. The arcade should be avoided. It takes your money in no time flat and at best, returns items of questionable value.

Lots of fun for friends and family

I hadn't been bowling for many years, but my wife really wanted to go out for a 'different" date night. We went in the middle of the week and had an absolute blast. The facility is huge with something for everybody, like a video arcade for the kids, a large menu of food and drinks at a reasonable cost and beautiful colorful lanes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a great night and will definitely be going back!

September to Remember
Sep 2018 • Family
We were in the area for a wedding on a Sunday. Since we had almost all of our big family from all over the world, we decided to have a family reunion and booked our party at The Big Event. Maggie made the planning so easy and everything was spectacular! We all had a great time! Even though I'm in NJ, I wish we lived closer so we can have all our parties at The Big Event!

A great time for all

My friends and I always have a great time here! Food and service are always great! My only critique is the condition of the lanes- they are very oily! I suggest bringing a towel to wipe the balls down after each roll.

Lots to do....unless blocked by reservations.

I enjoyed the variety of activities offered here. There was a decent arcade, the bowling alley itself was cool, the shuffleboard was a little beat up, the Foos ball table was fine and they also offered billiards and ping-pong. But I did not like that when we try to play at the pool tables, they were all empty but reserved. I was surprised that management would not even let us play shuffleboard saying that it was reserved as well. We were there for quite a while and did not see all of these items reserved being used. Strange thing for an establishment to do on a Saturday night.

Ok place

This place is ok if you get a bowling lane. In some days you have to call ahead to make sure it is not all rented. It happened to us twice to go with the children and being told that nothing is available for a few hours.

Fun place for kids and adults
Jun 2017 • Family
The Playdrome is now called The Big Event. It is a large well equipped bowling alley with a large arcade area. Rent some shoes and bowl a game or two, have a snack of nachos delivered to your lane, and when finished play an arcade game or two. The staff is well versed with what to do for the kids. Pleasant and helpful. The lanes are great, bumpers for the kids, not for adults, even though I could have used them. A great place to go whether cold, hot, rain or shine.

A lot more than just bowling!!
Aug 2016 • Family
Good for bowling and to play some games in the game room with the children you brought with you. They also have a variety of finger food to munch on at the snack bar area.
