I’ll start by saying I was terrified most of the time. Let me explain…

If you are looking for a zip line course, take the zip line course only. It was closed the day we were there so I can’t review it. Since we couldn’t do the zip lines, we had to take the climbing courses instead. Although these have a zip line within the course, they make you work for it, and I mean work. I’m almost 50, and in pretty good shape, but I was surprised by the amount of effort it took to complete the courses, which wasn’t helped by a very humid day with no breeze. Frankly the zip line ride at the end of the course wasn’t worth the trouble you have to go through to get there. I had the expectation that there would be more fun and less work.

Some things to be aware of:
The courses are physically challenging. If you think you’re just going to breeze through without much thought, you’re wrong. The courses are designed to keep you off balance. Don’t attempt if you have a bad back, or a bad ankle, or a bad anything. You need a lot of upper body strength to hang on and pull yourself up. You need good balance and proper shoes. Don’t come in flip-flops or sandals. If you’re afraid of heights, don’t come at all. Gloves are recommended but not essential. The courses take a while to complete, especially if it’s crowded – you may have to wait at each station for the people in front of you to move on. Make sure you eat beforehand. Bring lots of water if you come on a hot day, and have a way to strap it to your belt or something similar, as you won’t be able to carry it in your hands. Once you begin a course, you’re basically committed to finish it. There is no practical way to climb down in the middle of a course (regardless of what you may be told), and you really can’t go backwards if there are people behind you, and in some cases the course is designed to go forward only (I’m looking at you, skateboard). If you get scared, you basically have to suck it up and continue.

Safety:
Safety is top notch. The guides do a good job of training you in the use of the safety gear, and it’s easy to catch on to the routine of clipping and unclipping. You really can’t fall, even if you’re an idiot.

Staff:
Staff was very polite and helpful, although the guides were sparse during the course – you’re basically on your own when you’re up in the trees.

Our Girl Scout troop had a BLAST doing the Green and Red courses and the Zipline course. Lots of proud parent moments. Safety is top notch and the participants are taught and do a demo course before doing the real courses. Guides Tom and Emily were fantastic and they were amazing coaches, teachers, and rescuers in some instances. it's great to see your own kids develop pride and confidence with new skills and techniques! Worth every penny!

Tree2Tree Cape May,NJ was an incredible experience for my 7 and 12 year old children. The challenges were difficult but definitely within their capabilities. Which is what makes this so wholesome! The staff were extremely patient, supportive, and respectful to all the culturally diverse families and groups. When one of my other children was afraid to go up on the actual course due to fear of heights (after the training and practice course), a kind employee named Hannah sent me to the office for a refund for that child. Customer service above and beyond! WE WILL BE BACK!!!

Thanks so much for taking an adventure with us! We're so glad that you had a great time and that the kids felt that it was challenging but could have that feeling of accomplishment when they overcame a challenging spot! Thanks for coming out - we can't wait to see you again!

We had a group of six doing the zip line course only. My wife and I are in our late 50s and the kids in their mid 20s. Everyone was excited about trying the course. You get a brief “ how to” before you are sent out on the course.

Be aware that the first platform you need to climb is very high. First the ladders
are very shaky and straight up. I would imagine you end up 40:feet in the Air. Two of us could not do it. I got up about half way and had to stop. Luckily I could get down because once you leave the first platform you are on your own. The rest of the group made it through, including my wife who said although a bit scary, especially having no guides after the first platform, all had a good time and were tired.

A little disappointed in that once myself and another in the party decided we just couldn’t do it, the guide at the platform was not very sympathetic and just said go back to the office and drop off your stuff. When I got there, I could not find staff to assist. Eventually a person did arrive to help us get out of the gear. We were not offered a refund for the two people that couldn’t do it, so be sure you are brave enough to do the heights before going in. The rest of the group, “the brave ones” had a blast. I was proud of my wife who did the tour twice!

Would recommend, just be aware it starts out very high, and backing out is difficult. You also have to be ready to accomplish it on your own. We did not do the ropes course. It looked fun, but again was pretty high.

I've done large zip courses in the past and this was the worse. After minimal instruction (all other groups appeared to get a run through the practice course, we didn't not get that opportunity), the guide took us to the start with a two long ladders, one was straight up. Our group of 8 teen Girl Scouts had two chicken out with no sympathy from the guide and no good answer when I asked where they could wait for the rest of us to complete the course. You are completely on your own through the whole course. You attach and unattach all your safety equipment on each zip with no staff in sight to help with issues. There was no staff even at the end to help you with the pully to get down from the platform. There are only 5 zips, you do the course again if you desire to do so, by walking back to the beginning. Our "2 hours" lasted 1 hour and 5 minutes (that's with two of the girls doing the course the second time) ! No one was at the end to tell/show/or help you get out of your gear. Luckily, I had zipped in the past as I had to help all my girls remove the gear. Definitely NOT worth the cost.

My kids (older teens) truly enjoyed this experience! The staff was attentive and enforced safety by showing a brief movie then had a hands-on practice on the ground before the adventure started. Each "trail" got progressively more advanced as it went on and it kept my kids attention. Staff was helpful during each trail when necessary.

We've done a few courses at other locations with our 15 and 12 yo kids. This one was the right length and challenge. The company kindly called us the day before to say that 2 courses were closed, and refunded us a portion of what we had paid, due to the reduced choices. We ended up with the easiest and hardest (red) courses, and the zip line. Worth a day trip ;)

We’ve been to tree to tree 3 times. My kids 10,12 and myself enjoy the challenging courses. We paid extra for the red course as it is the most challenging. And we have our own gloves (they are a must for the course).
Unfortunately this past visit, we were behind a family that was in an earlier group that took almost 2 hours to finish the first course. Then a couple more people, then us. We were miserable and hot having to wait at every single rope/bridge/platform. The first course (we were told) is 2 courses combined. Which meant we had no shot of completing the courses in the time frame that is advertised- because we were perpetually stuck and unable to move on the course. There is a usual order in which the courses are completed. However, we asked to switch to another course or get a refund because we did not plan on spending 6 hours there. The guides decided to allow us to switch the order as they could see we were not enjoying ourselves.

The courses are physically demanding. And some elements are scary even for adults (especially the red course). So you need to be pretty adventurous. However, the guides should be able to make sure the guests are moving according to their timeframe, and maybe direct other guests to a course that is not CLOGGED for 2 hours. Once we were on the other courses, it was a breeze, and really fun!

Visited here and had one of the best experiences ever. We did zip line only course. The ladder to get to the first station can be daunting, but once you get up there, it's great.

The instructional period was very long as we had to wait for additional people to show up and there were several groups doing different courses. However, we were very prepared and knew what to do when we were up in the trees.

An overall great experience. We will definitely be back.

We took two boys ages 9 and 11 for the kids zip lining. My grandson is the 9 year old and is Special needs. I have to say that the two staff members were wonderful with him when he starting to cry on the second portion of the course. The young lady asked what she could do to make him more comfortable and the young man stayed with him throughout the course. They were ready to rescue him at any time but he persevered and made it to the end. My grandson said he would love to come back again. Thank you for having a great staff.
