Bay Springs Farm is a preserved working farm situated on what was the last Dairy Farm in Cape May County. Today it is the site of the largest alpaca farm in the County with more than 26 alpacas in a wide range of colors. We specialize in breeding black and gray and colored huacaya alpacas. All our alpacas sell with full guarantees and service support, plus free boarding for 6 months..

We carry all types of alpaca yarn, fleece and finished products--sweaters, throws, socks and scarves--in our farm store. We are open to the public every Sat. & Sun. from 10-4 or at other times by appointment.

We've visited at least five times on our trips to Cape May. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The alpacas act like alpacas but are friendly enough. We bring carrots to feed them by hand. Visit the small shop there to purchase items made of alpaca wool and other alpaca related items. Be sure to stop here on your... More

We visited the farm & store today & learned a lot about the little known alpaca. Most importantly their fur is not called wool, but fiber. Their life span is 15-18 years. The males & females are kept separate for obvious reasons. Gestation period is 11 months. They are fast runners. Alpacas are from the camel family. Oh, they love... More

At first we thought we were in the wrong place because it was a home with a huge yard and Alpaca farm. But the family was very warm and welcoming. And my very inquisitive little 5 yr old boy asked tons of questions which they delightfully answered. The alpacas were also very friendly that my son handled them and he... More

Absolutely charming farm with warm welcoming people. There is a wonderful store that has many items made from alpaca fibers and the most beautiful yarns for making your own creations. They also have a store within west end garage on Perry St.

We visited Bay Springs Farm recently and glad we did. What a delightful hidden gem in Cape May. The Alpacas were friendly and the farm was very clean. We met the grandchildren of the owners who were adorable and so informative. They told us many interesting facts about there fluffy friends. The store was stocked with many items made from... More

I've been to "Bay Springs Alpaca Farm" several times and always enjoy myself. I've brought different friends over the years and they're always surprised and delighted. The couple who own and run the farm are friendly, interesting, and informative. They want to share their love of the animals and what's involved in raising them. But,the alpacas are the real reason for going.... More

The farm was small and the proprietor was very helpful. It was something different to do. I would recommend this for anyone who enjoys nature and is generally a curious person.
