There are bigger antique stores on the Jersey shore, but there are none better than Out of the Past. I stumbled on this little gem several years ago, and I never miss a chance to stop by and see what treasures Jeanne (the owner) has found. The shop is tiny, but as one reviewer said, “Don’t let the size fool you!”. Every inch is covered, but there is a definite order to item placement. The shop is always clean, neat and tidy, and the prices are fantastic. Best of all (and unlike most shops I go to) Jeanne’s merchandise moves and she is always acquiring more. Her taste runs to the quirky and unusual and I guarantee that any collector will find something. I came out today with antique pottery, clothing, paper dolls, Bakelite, and medical equipment! Her collection of ephemera is unsurpassed.

I've been going here for years, never thought to write a review! This place is a tiny treasure chest, and I always spend way more time than it seems possible inside. There is so much to look at, you have to go around a few times. I even found a saucer that matches a few dishes I have at home. The owner is very helpful and friendly. Always a pleasure.

My two daughters and I happened upon this charming antiques shop while recently vacationing in Cape May, NJ. We spent a good hour or more perusing the wonderful array of dish and glassware, doll house furniture, and other collectibles of every variety. We all came away with not a few new-found treasures and a new- found friend in Jeanne, the owner, who was so very kind, funny, and knowledgeable. This shop was a highlight of our trip and a most pleasant way to while away part of an afternoon. We will be back- everyone must stop in!

My husband and I came here on our Cape May trip in search of an old book for our new living room decor. If you’re someone who loves Joanna Gaines’ style and doesn’t mind a touch of history in your space that tells a story, you will find plenty of accent pieces waiting to be scooped up. The old books are a gold mine in our opinion. Not only do they serve as a nice piece to pull a room together, but they bring warmth to a cool space.

Antique and vintage lovers dream! The small shop is packed with tons of treasures like these ORIGINAL Fiestaware tea cups and Marmalade jar. I’m so glad we stopped and looking forward to going back. Thanks for the hospitality!

This place is a gem right off the main drag. The owner is so nice and welcoming, and there were so many great finds. We ended up walking away with a gift for a neighbor but could’ve spent all day there! We’ll be back soon!!

It was a rainy day and needed something to do. My sons and I (mom stayed home) went out on an adventure to antique shops and happened upon "Out of the Past" I'm sorry that I never got her name but the elderly lady could not have been more personable and helpful in our quest for a particular item. we ended up buying something else, and she gave us a map to other surrounding antique stores.

I like to visit this shop on a rainy day, when there's really not too much to do in Cape May. It is such a pleasant little shop with nice people working there. You'll see tons of cool vintage and antique items, like going to a flea market. Nothing out of the ordinary, but some cool trinkets nonetheless. Stop by if you get the chance.

Stumbled upon this shop the other afternoon - what a find! A very cute little antique shop at the corner of West Perry and Myrtle. Could have stayed there for a few hours looking at all of the little treasures - from china to dollhouse furniture to old postcards and painting and much more! The owner was very pleasant and helpful. We will definitely be back during our next visit to Cape May!
