Capt Bob was a fantastic tour guide and brought to life not only the birds we were witnessing, yet also facts about some of the amazing migratory travels ... beautiful scenery throughout the Cape May tributaries that are so often overlooked - can’t recommend enough !

We were lucky to have a beautiful weekend in the beginning of November and decided to go out on the Osprey again. We had been out last May and had a really enjoyable ride with a packed boat and a naturalist. Apparently this Saturday trip was completely packed but we lucked out and there were literally only five guests on our trip! This made us feel incredibly comfortable because we were extremely worried about social distancing and masks. The captain does not seem very concerned about mask-wearing and we would have left if there had been too many people but again, literally five people and every guest wore a mask the entire time so we felt completely comfortable and safe. We had paid for a two-hour boat ride but the captain actually took more time so that we would be able to get a look at Sandhill Cranes which was very much appreciated! He also basically ran the boat into a rock wall so that we could get good pictures of purple sandpipers haha. He is a rare boat captain and that he understands how much some of us crazy birders care about these things and definitely went out of his way to get us good looks at some unexpected species! We had scoters and loons and oyster catchers and it was just such a great morning on the water. :-)

Went a bit longer than advertised, very good and thorough birdwatching experience. Boat is very basic, enclosed with lots of open windows, so there's a roof but very good airflow. Wonderful trip through otherwise hard to access marshland between the highly developed beach areas. Goes all the way up to the Wildwoods. We saw eagles, cormorants, oystercatchers, and several other species, in pretty good numbers. There were a few rough points in the water but mostly not too rough. Very knowledgeable captain who clearly loves doing this. Totally recommend. Great value.

I wish I had done this sooner. The Captain was knowledgeable and skilled at finding birds. I will definitely do this again.
