My friend and I made a reservation for a Fri-yeah, Fun-day Wine tasting at Willow Creek Winery. I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews, however, our experience was absolutely fantastic. We were greeted warmly and asked where we would like to sit for our wine tasting. I never had a choice in seating for a wine tasting before (this was a first). We choose inside on the comfy couches and we were the only ones who did. We got to enjoy the beautiful venue they must use for their weddings. Very rustic yet still eloquent. We had Leah who was knowledgeable about her wine and also gave us a history about Willow Creek. We were able to choose a selection of 4 wines plus a 5th with their white sangria (absolutely delicious). We also were offered a menu and we decided to have a charcuterie tray while sampling the wines. That was also superb!
I don't know what the other reviews experienced when they arrived but our day there from beginning to end was friendly, informative and never rushed. We highly recommend visiting but I do suggest making a reservation either for the restaurant or the wine tasting. I find no issue with doing either, especially in these covid days as they can prepare.

The winery itself is nice. There is an outdoor seating area that overlooks the grapes which when weather is nice is a great place to enjoy a bottle of wine and the charcuterie plate. The weather during our last visit made it a little too cold to sit outside. This time we sat in a very large room that includes many tables and a tasting area which was fine. In our past visits we really enjoyed the charcuterie plate which was a little disappointing this time around. Our server Beth who seemed to be doing the work of 3 people made this visit very enjoyable with good service and a friendly demeanor. There is a Bar area that was not open at the time of my last visit which is also a nice place to sit. The wine itself is okay.... if you are a cabernet fan the Bacchus was very drinkable. The sangria is very good and seemed to be a big hit with many of the patrons so if you are a sangria person I would give that a try. Overall a very nice experience

We had dinner at Willow Creek on a Friday night in July. It was a hot day but the umbrellas at each table and a slight breeze kept the patio very comfortable. The wine was surprisingly good for a local winery and the brisket sandwich was delicious! The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere was relaxed and family friendly. It is nice that you can make a reservation here and not have to wait. I highly recommend this winery if you are looking for a lovely venue where you can relax and enjoy time with family or friends.

Was here twice before, once when they first opened and again about 4 years ago. Stopped here with a friend for a visit this weekend and the snotty hostesses informed us we could not enter the main tasting room without a reservation. We were only two people, but I guess I can understand the reservation rule. The attitude though, was very uncalled for, especially after what happened next. They banned us to the next building which is a walk-in bar where there was about 40 people and only one bartender, who ignored everyone for at least 10 minutes while he hopelessly flirted with a group of girls at the bar. Once he finally realized there were other people waiting he made his way around we ordered two glasses of Rose, of which mine had floaties in it, and which both tasted like an old bottle of wine you would find in the back of your great aunt’s fridge. We couldn’t even finish it, $26 later. Lesson learned we should’ve asked to taste it first, but also, perhaps they should train the staff to do their job and talk to people a bit about the wine beforehand. I mean, being here before, I didn’t have super high hopes for the wine overall, but usually as wineries mature, the wine gets better. Sadly, both the wine and the service here is subpar. Tourist trap for sure. If you want good wine and service, go to Turdo or Cape May winery!

We had a group of 9 for a wine tasting and lunch. The establishment is beautiful.
The wine tasting was educational and their wines are really good, however the wine is expensive. The food temperature was lukewarm and just OK - nothing great. Our waitress was not very attentive and the service was lacking. When we were initially seated for the wine tasting, it took longer than it should have for the tasting to begin and the wine sommelier was also busy with other tables as well throughout our tasting, taking a lot longer than necessary between each pour. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and I would not visit again or recommend.

Beautiful place and the food was good, and nice live music, but a few things We didn’t like.

We felt VERY rushed by our waitress, even though it was not crowded, lots of empty tables and they weren’t closing for another 2 hours. We had seen the crab imperial online and that was a reason we went there, went to give our order and that’s when she advised there was none left. Would’ve been a good idea to tell us that when she first came to our table, since menu not that big. We rethought and placed our order. We started with some wine flights, Sangria was just ok. Our food was then delivered by runners,
First course came within minutes, scallops wrapped in bacon, delicious, but, for $19 very small portion (only gave 3, one the size of a quarter and the other 2 size of nickels) VERY soon after, our entrees came. The brisket was tender and nicely smoked. Our waitress never came back to our table to make sure we didn’t need anything, which we did, she did not come back to our table until we were done eating to ask if we wanted anything else.

Then the next time she came to our table was to bring our bill. Couple things that annoyed us:

She showed us our bill on her tablet and stood over us as we looked at it. The table that was next to us, had a paper bill (and different waitress)

I didn’t have a problem with the fact that they charge 4% to use a credit card, because I had seen it on the menu and unfortunately more and more places are doing it. What I didn’t like, was that our waitress came over told us our total even before she knew whether we were paying with cash or charge and the 4% fee was already included in our total. This made me wonder if we had paid with cash, would she have kept the 4% fee for herself? She also didn’t give us choice for a receipt just advised it would be emailed to us.

Perhaps the worst wine I have ever had. Ordered a flight, which is three samples at $27. The Beaujolais tasted like Kool-aid, and the two sickening whites were equally undrinkable. I was with 7 other close friends and their wine choices were also very disappointing. Laughable prices for such poor wine. I could have poured the 3 samples together and made about 1 glass of wine at $27. Mixing could not possibly make them worse!

After a taste of 2 wines in my flight I attempted to return the flight for a single bottle of one wine that I thought would at least be barely drinkable. After 25 minutes the server to came back to tell me that returns are not accepted. Ha! I have a feeling they get lots of return requests for their ripple wine.

One expects a brisket sandwich to be thick and juicy. This was the complete opposite. The overpriced beef brisket sandwich was a scrawny, thin cardboard-tasting baguette about 6” long that has three thin slices of overcooked, dry, tasteless brisket. A side of creamy horseradish did little to help. The fries were decent but far from the best. Get the pulled pork instead.

Service is scanty. Basically for our round table for 8, she hastily dropped all the dishes, flatware, napkins and menus on the table for us to sort out and pass. At these menu prices I expect at a bit more hospitality and service.

In the end, after splitting our bill 8 ways and giving our server far more than deserve for her minimal service, I paid $43 for what amounted to about one glass of the worst wine ever and the worst brisket ever. Go for the views and atmosphere, it’s very beautiful but skip the wine and brisket. Better yet, save your money, go elsewhere, this place should stick to selling fresh chicken eggs.

A little disappointed....Once you get on the property, there are small signs posted directing you to the tasting house. If you go at night, there are no street lights on the property making it hard to see anything. The tasting room itself is very pretty. Wines are tasty and they have some interesting fruit flavored ones you can try. However- the negative outweighed the positive here. A group of four went to the Winery for dinner (we had a 6:oo PM-7:30PM reservation). We were sat and then told at 6:20 that we needed to order because the kitchen closed at 6:30....WHAT??? We ordered some apps and dinner. The courses came out 5 minutes apart making us feel rushed. You might be able to get over this if the food was good. It was average at best and not particularly hot. I ordered a grilled cheese and tomato soup. The soup was slightly warm and the grilled cheese was more bread than cheese. By 6:45 they had shut off the lights in the main entry and employees were pretty much packing up to go home. This created a very unwelcoming environment. They accept reservations through 6:00 so if they didn't want to serve us (we were not the only table occupied), then they should stop reservations earlier. Based on my experience I wouldn't recommend this place for more than a quick stop to do a little wine tasting. Don't waste your time or money eating here.

We were visiting on our way into town for the Cape May Jazz Festival with a reservation for 11:30 and were on a schedule. Upon arrival we were told that they open at noon and that there had been a glitch in the reservation system that allowed an 11:30 reservation in error. At the time we were seated, only one other party was seated before us. When service began others around us were waited on including those that arrived and were seated after us. After a few minutes we inquired at the hostess stand and we were told our waitress (Laura?) would be with us shortly. After another lengthy wait we were finally waited on by a different waitress (Patricia) who had walked by us several times. She had also served the party that came in at the same time as us, and waited on that party prior to noon.
We each placed the same food order with different drinks (one of our wine choices was on the menu but was actually sold out). The drinks arrived correctly however when the food arrived we received only one order. After some confusion and delay the second order arrived. This visit was a sharp contrast to the near perfect experience we had in June.

We reserved a table online and when we arrived we waited 20 minutes to be seated. We watched from the waiting area the performance of bagpipes and drums. As we were seated the performers took a break. My husband ordered a Guinness only to find out they had run out. We waited twenty minutes and decided to leave since we weren’t sure if bagpipes and drums were going to continue to perform. Upon leaving, pipes and drums began again. Overall, It seemed a little disorganized. The short performance of pipes and drums was terrific but we were unhappy with service.
