My husband and I wwnt on the 3 hour afternoon cruise. I can't say how much fun we had!!! It was amazing! we saw many dolphins and even a whale. They play music, serve cocktails and serve food, open bar. The crew is wonderful! Don't miss out on this while visiting Cape May!! A MUST!!!

We went in 2011 or 2012 for the first time, and got the best treat our first time out. Close to shore, we were visited by a Northern Right Whale. We first saw the distinctive water spout, and when it got closer, the Captain cut the engine. There were several boats in the water, and they all communicated and also cut their engines. The whale came up to the boat, along side, and swam under several times. The Captain could barely contain his delight as he educated us on the history of the whale, its migratory path, why it was endangered. He advocated for seeing animals in nature, observing respectfully instead of within the confines of an aquarium (referring to captured dolphins and whales). None of the boats would start engines again until the whale had lost curiosity and moved away.
We've gone on the same tour since then, still love the experience and the staff's knowledge and respect. But that experience will be tough to beat. We will never forget it.

Took a wonderful Dolphin Watch and Sunset Cruise. Captain made sure we got to see the dolphins up close, before taking us on a leisurely cruise around to Sunset beach where we had a fantastic sight of the setting sun. Then back up the canal to the harbor. Tuesday was 2 adults for the price of one. and kids under 6 went free.

My girl friend and I went on a whale watching tour with this company and it was a very disappointing experience. Although we spent 3 hours on the boat without seeing any sea life, the worst part of the experience was the rude treatment we got from one of the crew members who claimed to be the owner.

This person spoke to us in the most condescending tone because when asked to produce our tickets for the tour, my girl friend could not find them. We explained that we presented the tickets to a gentlemen at the check- in window prior to boarding the ship - and we were not instructed to keep the punched tickets. Other passengers on the tour also had to scramble to find tickets because no one was told that they would be collected once the ship had set sail.

The crewmen copped a serious attitude and made a snide comment like, "wouldn't you keep your ticket stub if you went to the movies?" The guy basically insinuated that we could have hopped aboard a whale tour without paying. I was very insulted by his tone and the insinuation.

After finding the tickets, I found the guy and told him that I thought he was rude and that I would not patronize the company again. He argued with me and told me that I was pushing his buttons and that he would not let us back on his boat again.

I would not spend a dime on with this company again. The service was horrible.

It is July 2. We bought two tix for July 3 fireworks cruise for $70 at 11:30 this morning and have the receipt to prove it. We learned from the tourism kiosk in town that the Lower Township fireworks scheduled for July 3 were cancelled at 10 am this morning. So they sold us tix for something they knew or should have known were not happening. Called them immediately to ask when we could expect the refund on our credit card. Were told by a very rude man who I assume to be the owner that the tickets are nonrefundable. I again explained we paid for a fireworks cruise and that there were not going to be any fireworks. He took a very officious tone and kept repeating to read the fine print on their website. We did not buy the tix on the website... We bought them in person at the location on Wilson. When I realized I was getting nowhere with him I simply hung up and called American express and filed a dispute. What an arrogant, horrible company. They had to have known, or should have known, there were no fireworks yet sold us fireworks cruise tix. If I have to take them to court I vow they will not get my $70. Please do not do business with this company.

aeasmmikey, I am sorry that you had a poor experience with our staff. The majority of our patrons have a positive experience with our cruise. The Lower Township Fireworks were postponed by Lower Township at 11:26 AM on July 2, 2014. The fireworks were rescheduled for July 5, 2014. The fireworks were not cancelled, and the excursion which you purchased tickets for went out in calm seas and we saw dolphins. All participants of this cruise were given the option to come aboard on July 3, 2014 for our cruise or to reschedule for the rescheduled cruise on July 5, 2014. Your tickets are still valid and we welcome you aboard to experience our cruise on July 5, 2014. If for whatever reason you cannot make it aboard for July 5, 2014, you may use the tickets you have on a future regularly scheduled whale and dolphin watch or a dolphin watch. We booked a Prime Rib Dinner cruise that was to be the highlight of our trip in May. Paid $52 each and found out by accident after I called them that the cruise was cancelled and they offered us instead a hotdog pizza cruise the same time---two hours before cruise time.
We've been with them before and they were fine but they ruined the night and spoiled the trip

The boat itself is nice. The trip itself is wonderful to be on the open water. Our only downside was the captain was mad at a gentleman for breaking the handle on the sink in the men's room. It was an accident, I am sure but the captain was rude about it while on the loud speaker and just went on and on about it. It really did make the trip unpleasant. His tirade went on for quite a few minutes.

Saw about 100 dolphins, no lie! Wonderful trip from the harbor to the ocean to the bay and back. Decent staff, great captain doing commentary.
TIP: Don't go when they have the free pizza and hot dogs unless you want to be trampled by lots of kiddies and their pushy parents.

My family and I recently went on the Spirit of Cape May sunset dinner cruise. If you are not interested in a sit down meal, they also have a pizza/hot dog sunset cruise which is less expensive, but the beautiful sights are the same - same cruise. Those partaking in dinner are seated inside for the buffet and those just enjoying the cruise are seated outside. My five year old was free to eat and cruise, which you don't often see on cruises. He had the option of the buffet or the pizza. Staff was friendly. Cash bar also offered.

Wanted to do the dinner cruise but it was all booked up, so we settled for pizza on deck & watching the sites. Ended up to be a super great time. Don't expect to "eat" on board as you get a slice of pizza each (flyer said unlimited) but the experience is worth the price. The captain in great too. His commentary is very enjoyable and educational. Good family fun!
