What a privilege to be able to explore this Battleship. The guides dotted around the ship are very knowledgeable. You have to be able to climb ladders and be relatively fit to get into all the areas of this battleship.

We visited the Battleship New Jersey, earlier this month, one day, when the snow was melting. Because of that, only part of the ship was open for touring. We opted not to take the audio tour, as it was even more money; however, we may...More

As other reviewers have stated, the New Jersey is the most decorated battleship and the only one to have been commissioned 4 times. She is probably the best battleship ever built, capable of effectively performing a wide variety of missions. Anyone interested in military history...More

I did use the wand and did not mind taking it back to the ticket building. One reason for returning wands to the ticket counter is they need to keep any deposit IDs safe behind the counter. ( As I recall, I was not asked... More

5 PM is the latest time that you can start your tour. Most guests complete the Fire Power Tour in 90 minutes, so most guests finish their tour by 6:30.
