One amazing experience this ship must be seen and live the proud past of a vessel that helped win a war and honor those who served and paid the price for our freedom.

This is a real highlight if you ever come to Philadelphia. Just across the Delaware near a ferry station you can visit the historic battleship "New Jersey". Once you paid for the ticket (I did the self-guided tour but would recommend a guided one) you...More

We did the tour of the ship and the history of it is just amazing. We walked the whole boat and it took about 2 hours at least. The men on board were so kind and it truly makes you feel like you were there.

Be sure to allocate several hours to see the entire ship. I took my time and was easily here for three hours on the self guiding audio tour. Definitely take the audio devices so that you can listen to recordings at the designated spots; otherwise...More

The Battleship New Jersey is by far the best naval museum I have ever visited. A guided tour of the ship was fantastic and the staff were all so helpful and friendly and insightful. I learned a huge amount and the whole six hours on...More

The New Jersey is steeped with history and a must see for military history buffs. Lots of climbing up and down stairs so not suitable for less than agile persons.

USS New Jersey is loads of fun for both kids and adults. You can spend hours in there without noticing the time going by. So much history and detail, the even have anti-aircraft artillery that makes sounds as you shoot from them.

This 70 year old ship is showing its age. It is deteriorating much faster than resources can be obtained to maintain it. The part open to the public is probably 20% of the total space and it is not in particularly good shape. I guess...More

This was awesome for us. My dad is retired Navy, so he loved it. But it was fun for the whole family. Be warned that there is a lot of climbing up and down steep stairs. I would highly recommend it for all. Loved it.

I did use the wand and did not mind taking it back to the ticket building. One reason for returning wands to the ticket counter is they need to keep any deposit IDs safe behind the counter. ( As I recall, I was not asked... More

5 PM is the latest time that you can start your tour. Most guests complete the Fire Power Tour in 90 minutes, so most guests finish their tour by 6:30.
