Really cool Battleship!

Really cool that you can walk on and tour a piece of history. If that's not your thing, then check out the awesome skyline of Philadelphia.

This was one of my favourite things that we did on our trip. It was covered with the Philadelphia Pass but you do not get the audio tour - not that you need it. You can easily spend a few hours here and they let you see almost the whole boat. There are lines designating the self-guided tour and there... More

This is a truly incredible ship. It's the largest battleship ever built, served primarily in WWII and Vietnam, and is very well laid out with the audio tour. The weapons, life of the crew, and officers who served aboard are the focus of the tours. You can choose between a guided or self-guided tour. You can also get the "fish... More

We went on the Turret tour. It was very interesting with a lot of historical facts provided. Book the tour online as there are only so many seats available. We did not go on the tour for the rest of the boat since we had been on others.

Took the ferry from Philadelphia to Camden, a deceptively easy walk. Deceptive because there is a marina basin that must be negotiated. A 10 minute walk turned into 20 minutes in the sun. It is worth it! Given the massive size of the ship, it is in remarkably good condition. A lot of steep stairs and confusing directions but it... More

After serving on board the ship for two years to go back and see it remarkable. Brings back many memories and good times with her shipmates and some tragic losses

This ship is huge! Wear tennis shoes as there is a lot of climbing up and down ladders. There is a small parking lot that is a bit hidden. They tell you that is you are going to the aquarium you can stay and walk. However, we found it just a bit too far as hot as it was. Also,... More

Great ship!! We had an awesome time on the forward decks of the NJ watching the July 4th weekend fireworks on the Delaware River. There was also a raffle to fire 2 of her guns after the fireworks show. Pretty amazing!! Tickets were free with a $10 donation. Would totally recommend. Makes for a memorable night.

Watched the Philly fireworks spectacular from the deck of the USS New Jersey. What a great piece of our history is being kept alive by the dedicated volunteers and their benefactors! Even met two WWII veterans who served on her and another who was on her final voyage in 1991. Great for adults and kids and the crew simply could... More

BB-62 was one of the last of the great Battleships of any navy, and you should not pass up the opportunity to visit this ship, and experience the changes of the world that both influence the course this ship took, and the influence this ship had on history. First, this ship is _big_. You can do a fast tour in... More
