In a word - Wow. For those with ties to the Navy, appreciation of military history, or just a love of really big guns, coming here is a no-brainer. However, there are plenty of things to see and do on-boar that many people can appreciate. The quality of life of the sailors - where they slept, what they wore, how... More

I have lived in New Jersey my whole life and have long been proud to call this place my home. I have also been proud of our state's namesake Battleship, having served our country from 1944 until 1991 seeing action in the Pacific theater, Korea, Vietnam, and the persian gulf. The ship is so impressive, as you approach her she... More

I'm just an old sailor who wants to see our heritage preserved. This would be the fourth battle ship I have visited. The ship is located on the Delaware River in Camden NJ near the Adventure Aquarium. The two attractions make a nice day out. It is a bit of a walk between the two so keep that in mind... More

we have had this on our list for a while and stumbled across free admission tickets so we decided to go. i felt like $10 to park was a bit much but since we had free admission we looked past it. We enjoyed the tour and learned quite a bit about the ship etc My husband is a former navy... More

we visited this ship on a weekday by car. It is easily accessible by car ($10 parking fee),, the river line or via the ferry from penn,s landing in phila. The admission fee was reasonable, about $22 each for us. The battleship was a bit more modern than the others we have visited, probably due to the Regan era modernization.... More

We had a great time! As a Navy Veteran (female) who didn't serve on a ship this was great fun and exciting to get to see how our sailors lived and worked on a battleship, docents were fun and great information

We enjoyed visiting the ship. The museum on board was informative and I enjoyed the models. There were quite a bit of information on Adm. Halsey, which I found very good. He is a hero and his story has to be told and the ship did a great job with that. Many spaces are open to visitation, with great explanations.... More

My father-in-law, my son, and I toured the Battleship New Jersey. It was a highly impressive ship. Great tour, lovely tour guides that provided great information. It was a visit to remember. If anyone in your party has trouble going up and down steep stairs and small spaces, this is not the tour for them. We truly enjoyed our visit.

We took our 5 year old grandson for an experience of being able to see a real battleship. This is an American treasure and a great history site. It is easy to get to by auto or ferry on the New Jersey waterfront. . He was fascinated by the guns, the deck, and the insides, including the captains quarters, the... More

This ship is full of history. The tickets are pretty affordable. We got a audio device that allows you to listen to explanations of where you are throughout the ship. The stations are numbered; you simply enter the station number on the device and it tells you about that particular part of the ship. You can essentially tour the battleship... More
