My 12 year old son and I had a great time at the New Jersey. We visited later on a Saturday afternoon and I felt that we had the ship to ourselves for most of our visit.

Earlier in the year we went to see the USS Wisconsin and, while I’d say that the Wisconsin is in overall better condition, the New Jersey museum puts so much more of the ship on display. We interacted with a couple of the volunteers and got some special insights into the workings of the gun battery and engine room.

We loved our visit and I would like to visit again once COVID is in our rear view mirror. Overall, this is a great piece of American history and we owe it to the next generation to show off the accomplishments and sacrifices of the great generation.

The crew has done some by opening some areas that allows visitors to see things not allowed before. Such as opening hatches in the Num 1 gun turret so you get look at and take pictures of the breech assembly. Before you could only see it thru a small window in the bulkhead. As others have mentioned, masks are required in and outside the ship and they do a forehead scan and ask you to sign a sheet to say your not sick.

I was expecting a bit of a dull walkthrough. Instead we got an informative self-guided tour, more exhibits than we could actually take in, and at the end a guided tour of the bridge area. Well worth the price!

We scheduled a tour for our fifth grade class four times only to have the tour rescheduled, then cancelled the day before we were supposed to see the ship. It has been a month now and we still have not seen our deposit returned.

It is disappointing to see a war memorial which is supposed to honor our veterans being run so poorly.

Went to visit the ship this past 4th of July. Because of the Covid-19 situation parking is temporarily free. All facilities are clean and state precaution guidelines are being follow (Mask required, Social distancing, Sanitizing stations, etc..). Staff is very friendly and informative. The "Big J" as the battleship is called is amazing. So much history and lots of stuff to see. I recommend to take half day so you will be able to explore the whole ship. Fee was $24 per adult. Worth every penny!!!

Very cool they preserved this ship. Also saw SS Arizona in Hawaii and the USS Bowfin submarine. Old timers who used to be new timers are there to volunteer their time and talked about how they just signed up for WWII without knowing what they were getting into,

What a great place to visit! A mask is required both inside and outside the ship, but it is air conditioned inside (and there's at least two bathrooms inside as well.) We did the green self-guided tour, and it was informative and interesting. At the end of the green tour are three other subtours. Best time to go is now during the reopening as parking is free and there's not a whole lot of other people. Small gift shop, and they have a smashed penny machine. Sign up for emails and you'll get a BOGO coupon. Recommended.

This is a large ship and you should take a whole day for a visit. Guided tour helps you from deck to deck. Amazing to see how a WW II battleship has been upgraded to serve many years later.

One of four Iowa Class Battleships - the last of the breed for the United States. So glad they all remain as Museum Ships. Excelled Evening Tour (adults only) aboard her. The tour guide was excellent, well informed/knowledgable and enthusiastic. Wonderful US Military and Historical experience.

My wife and I visited the New Jersey 3 days before my 63nd birthday. I had her take a picture of myself holding up the #62 on the bow. Spent 3 1/2 hours and spoke with all the veterans on the ship. Enjoyed every minute on board and now have a bucket list for the next few birthdays. Oh, February in Hawaii for next year. Philly is a great city to visit. We went to Independence Hall and took in the Liberty Bell. Our stay was at the Hilton on Penn's landing,17th floor river view room and all was within10 blocks walking distance. America truly is the greatest country in the world.
